BALANCING WITH PRISMS

{Both eyes must be equal}

3 BU OD3 BD OS

- Add 3 clicks plus- Ask pt if letters are equal….

IF THEY ARE NOT…..- Add plus to the one which is clearer- If bottom is clearer, add 1 click plus to the BU (OD)- If top is clearer, add 1 click plus to BD (OS)

Then, flip back the prisms, add 3 clicks up and refract sphere OU
