We believe good environmental performance makes good business. That’s why:

• We use 3% mains water (2,000m3) to 97% bore hole water (80,000m3).

We collect, filter and reuse rain water in many processes, including

washing our lorries.

• Our goal is to make 50% of the fuel we use in energy-intensive cement

manufacturing come from sustainable sources.

• We reuse 100,000 tonnes of waste per year to make cement.

• Over 1 million tonnes of cement goes by rail each year from Hope

Cement Works into our national network, including to our East London

depot for our bagged products.

• This includes using technology like telematics, investing in trucks

that are increasingly efficient and providing training for all our drivers

covering safety and compliance as well as vehicle tracking and

driving style management.

PROFESSIONAL GRADE CEMENT

Professional Grade Cement is a quality assured cement with independent third party certification and comes conveniently packed in weatherproof bags. It is a fortified Portland-limestone cement conforming fully to BS EN 197-1 CEMII\A-LL 32,5R.

Professional Grade Cement is for use in concretes, mortars, renders

and screeds; it contains cement performance enhancing additives

to give lower water demand, virtually eliminated separation of

water, cement and aggregate to reduce bleed, a homogenous,

more cohesive mix and increased resistance of hardened concrete/

mortar to freeze/thaw attack.

Professional Grade Cement is supplied in 25kg bags within the UK.

It should not be mixed with additions or other cement types and it

is essential that it is correctly specified and used.

GENERAL PURPOSE MASONRY MORTAR

Our General Purpose Masonry Mortar is kiln dried, pre-blended, factory produced 1:6 cement:sand mortar and is easy to use and will stand the test of time. It is available in showerproof, tear-resistant, plastic packaging within the UK.

General Purpose Masonry Mortar is a flexible product, ideal for a wide

variety of applications including brick laying, repointing, laying blocks,

patio, paving slabs as well as general masonry repairs. It should be

stored in unopened bags clear of the ground, in cool dry conditions and

protected from damp, frost, heat and excessive draught.

One bag of General Purpose Masonry Mortar will give you approximately

12 litres of fresh mortar which should be enough to lay 20 standard

house bricks or 12 x 100mm blocks laid with a uniform 10mm joint.

ROOF TILE BEDDING MORTAR

Roof Tile Bedding Mortar is ideal for ensuring roof tiles are securely bedded, quickly and easily. Each bag contains guaranteed cement and mix proportions as well as contents that aid workability and improve resistance to frost attack and rain penetration. It is available in showerproof, tear-resistant plastic packaging within the UK.

Roof Tile Bedding Mortar is available as a natural material. It is specifically

designed for bedding clay and concrete roof tiles. It should be stored in

unopened bags clear of the ground, in cool dry conditions and protected

from damp, frost, heat and excessive draught. Please use within 6 months

of the packing date shown on the bag, which is in a week/year format.

One bag of Hope Roof Tile Bedding Mortar will give you approx. 12 litres

Internal and External Render is a cement lime sand render that’s easy to use and gives you a strong result. The product is ideal for use as a traditional 2-part rendering system in moderate exposure conditions. Each bag provides guaranteed cement content and mix proportions, controlled air and workability aids and improved resistance to frost attack and rain penetration. It is available in showerproof, tear-resistant, plastic packaging within the UK.

Internal and External Render is suitable for use as a traditional two-part

rendering system for internal and external use in moderate exposure

conditions. All plasticisers and workability aids are incorporated into the

mix to maximise the performance of the product. It should be stored in

External Render will cover approximately 0.8m2 at 16mm depth.

Sand Cement Screed is easy to prepare, use and store and is the perfect solution when you’re working on an interior floor for a domestic or light commercial application. You get guaranteed cement content and mix proportions in every bag. It is available in showerproof, tear-resistant, plastic packaging within the UK.

Sand Cement Screed is suitable for use as an internal non-wearing levelling screed

material in domestic and commercial applications subject to medium or light

trafficking. All plasticisers and workability aids are incorporated into the mix to

maximise the performance of the product. It should be stored in unopened bags

clear of the ground, in cool dry conditions and protected from damp, frost, heat

and excessive draught.

KILN DRIED SAND

APPLICATIONS

Kiln Dried Sand is the easy way to achieve strong, secure paving. It is suitable for a variety of applications and can be brushed directly from the bag. It is available in showerproof, tear-resistant, plastic packaging within the UK.

Kiln Dried Sand is suitable as a jointing or grouting sand for block

paving projects, the laying and bedding in of paving slabs and as a

dried building sand. It should be stored in unopened bags clear of

the ground, in cool dry conditions and protected from damp, frost,

heat and excessive draught. Each bag will cover approximately 5m2

of standard block paving. We recommend that Kiln Dried Sand is

General Purpose Cement is a quality assured cement with independent third party certification and comes conveniently packed in weatherproof bags. It is a CEM II cement, based on Portland cement clinker.

General Purpose Cement is for use in concrete, mortars, renders, screeds

and grouts. Trial mixes are advised prior to application. General Purpose

Cement is supplied in 25kg bags within the UK. It is essential that it is

correctly specified and used.

It should be stored in unopened bags clear of the ground, in cool dry

conditions and protected from damp, frost, heat and excessive draught.

HIGH STRENGTH 52,5N CEMENT

High Strength 52,5N Cement is a quality assured cement with independent third party certification and comes conveniently packed in weatherproof bags. It is a general purpose packed Portland Cement that complies with the requirements of BS EN 197-1 CEM I 52,5N.

High Strength 52,5N Cement is for use in civil engineering applications

such as structural concrete, piling and screeds. Other applications include

beams and slabs, precast items, heavy duty floors and general concreting

where higher strength is required. High Strength 52,5N Cement is suitable

for use with colour pigments, cement admixtures such as air entraining

agents and workability aids as well as cement replacements such as

fly-ash and ground granulated blast-furnace slag. Trial mixes are advised

prior to application. High Strength 52,5N Cement is supplied in 25kg bags

within the UK.

C40 HIGH STRENGTH CONCRETE (40N)

C40 High Strength Concrete (40N) is a pre-mixed, strong and hardwearing concrete. Manufactured from cement, 10mm coarse aggregate and specially selected sand, it is formulated for exceptional performance where higher guaranteed strength is required.

C40 High Strength Concrete is ideal for a wide variety of building projects ranging

from manholes, ironworks and foundations to footing lampposts and road signs or

any other work requiring a concrete with high compressive strength.

One bag of C40 High Strength Concrete

mixed with 2.5 litres of water will produce

about 0.01m3 of concrete and cover:

concrete bases, garage and shed floors, the erection of posts, walkways,

steps, patios, backfill and infill, general repair work and many other non-

structural applications. It should be stored in unopened bags clear of the

ground, in cool dry conditions and protected from damp, frost, heat and

excessive draught.

One bag of General Purpose Concrete will give you approximately

0.01m3 of fresh material when mixed using 2.0 to 2.5 litres of clean water.

Rapid Set Post Mix secures posts quickly and accurately. It improves your operation times because it’s pre-mixed and sets fast (approximately 10 minutes). This means you can fix the post in exactly the right way without having to support it for too long. It is available in showerproof, tear-resistant, plastic packaging within the UK.

Rapid Set Post Mix is suitable for fixing all types of wooden, metal

and concrete posts. It should be stored in unopened bags clear of the

ground, in cool dry conditions and protected from damp, frost, heat

and excessive draught. Please use within 6 months of the packing date
