he year 2014, in retrospect can be termed a frui�ul year in spite of Tthe challenges experienced in the IT industry and in the economy of the na�on as a whole. The year 2014 saw Digital Jewels Ltd

In Q4 2014, Digital Jewels successfully provided rigorous end to end support for 2 major ins�tu�ons to a�ain cer�fica�on in 2 standards. The first being a major telecoms provider which we assisted to a�ain the ISO/IEC 20000, the global standard for IT Service Management. The second being the largest Pan African Bank which we guided through an integrated approach to a�ain the ISO27001:2013 (Informa�on Security Management System) in record �me.

2014 IVC Sessions

The 59th IVC session took place on Wednesday 17th December 2014 in our serene, secure and conducive Capacity Building Centre. The 59th session was quite different as it took the form of a round table panel discussion with the theme- “Delivering and Managing your Standards Compliance: Real Life Case Studies”. The Panelists at the session were Niyi Ajao, Execu�ve Director Nigeria Inter-Bank Se�lement System PLC, Kola Ajimoko, Group Head Opera�onal Risk Access Bank PLC and Abimbola Oguntunde, Head Business Transforma�on Diamond Bank Plc, while the panel was moderated by Mrs. Adedoyin Odunfa MD/CEO Digital Jewels. The organiza�ons of all three aforemen�oned panelists have a�ained cer�fica�on to at least one global standard with Access Bank and NIBSS boas�ng of three standards. The discussants shared key benefits, challenges and cri�cal success factors in a�aining global best prac�ce standards based on their experience in recent �mes. BUILDING SPECIALIZED CAPACITYIn Q4 2014, several training sessions were successfully held within and outside the firm and also outside the country for clients across various fields (Banking, Oil and Gas, Telecoms, Government Parastatals etc). Some of the training held include:- The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), COBIT 5 Founda�on & Assessor, ISO22301/ISO27001 Lead Implementer & Lead Auditor courses, ISO2000 Founda�on & Prac��oner, PMP fast track, ITIL 2011 Founda�on, IT Governance Master Class, Business Analysis Essen�als and Requirements Engineering and PRINCE 2 Founda�on and Prac��oner. Par�cipants as always were thrilled with the warm recep�on, informed learning interven�ons, the conducive environment and the feeding.

A�er an intense screening process for the award of the DJL 2014 Scholarship scheme, four candidates emerged successful and are beneficiaries of a yearly grant to aid their academic pursuits.

Ibrahim Usman Opeyemi- is a final student at the University of Ilorin where he is currently studying Electrical Engineering. The 21 year old scholar who hails from Kwara state loves research, football and video games. He aspires to be a renowned Electrical Engineer.

Jamiu Abdulmujeeb- is a final student at the University of Ilorin where he is currently studying Electrical Engineering. The 21 year old scholar who comes from Kwara state loves researching new trends in the world of Informa�on Technology. He hopes to reform the world with the technological skills he acquires as an IT consultant.

Urama Charles Chiemeka- is a 400L student at the Federal University of Technology Owerri where he is currently studying Computer Science. The 21 year old scholar who hails from Enugu state loves research, programming and football. Charles hopes to become a brilliant programmer.

Babalola Omodolapo Victor- is a 400L student at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso where he is currently studying Computer Science and Engineering. The 21 year old scholar is currently carrying out his SIWES with Digital Jewels and loves reading and has keen interest in compu�ng and anything related to technology. Omodolapo aspires to be a lecturer/consultant impar�ng knowledge and applying knowledge to solving day to day challenges.

- Facilitated at the IIA Conference 2014, LEAP Africa CEO's forum the

Women of West Africa 2014 conference and the 10th Annual Global Local

Content summit in the UK.
