Backing Boards > mounting on self-adhesive board Tips

-work in dry rooms and keep your working space free from dust -store your prints and Fixmount in the same climatic conditions to avoid bubbles and wrinkling -clean the back of the print with a dry towel

Position the print and the mat on top of the Fixmount.

Set the mat aside but keep the print in its position on the Fixmount.

Mark the position of the print by cutting through the release paper with a sharp knife along the print‘s edges.

Now pull the release paper back to expose the adhesive just beyond the knife marks.

Position the egde of the print carefully on the knife marks. Press the middle of the print‘s edge and smooth out to both sides so that the edge is mounted.

With a soft towel, rub the print carefully and evenly onto the Fixmount as you pull the releqase paper away slowly.

Press the mat firmly all around to mount it into place.

Now position the mat on top of the mounted print.

Once the print is mounted, smooth the entire surface of the print one more time.

Done!
