At Mackintosh Academy, we prepare students (kindergarten

through grade 8) to succeed in a world we can’t yet imagine. For nearly 40 years Mackintosh has been pioneering next-generation gifted education, nurturing the keen minds and compassionate hearts of gifted and creative stu-dents in a caring community of learners so that they contribute to a world that needs them. Mackintosh blends a purposefully small school environment with leading-edge educational approaches, preparing children for their unique future. Our stu-dents love to learn and learn to leave their mark. Mackintosh Academy is a co-educational, independent day school with a student to teacher ratio of 9:1. As a fully accredited IB world school offering a full-time gifted program, days at Mack are filled with depth, rigor and challenge for students who love to learn. A Mackintosh education is deliberately whole child, integrating daily arts, physical education, world language (Spanish), and social emo-tional learning. As a leading advocate for schools of the future we also emphasize creativity, innovation and design thinking to prepare students to be next generation leaders, innovators and problem solvers. Tuition assistance is available. To learn more contact Sam Gaudet, Director of Institutional Advancement.

Engaging minds, inspir-ing virtue... preparing

for life.A high quality educa-

tion is important. But, edu-cation is more than just what you can accomplish; it is the shaping of persons into the very images we were created to become. At RMCA, we care about what matters. And we care about creating an environment where a child can think, and do and grow toward God and others.

Our philosophy incorporates the best thoughts on education over the centuries — Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, Dorothy Sayers and Charlotte Mason.

Our methods whisper of the past while remaining the best preparation for the future. Our students are not told what to think, they are taught how to think for themselves. Our community thrives on family activities and shared values. Our academic pursuits are worthy of thoughtful conversation and guided practice.Leaders stand out from the crowd and stand up for what is true. Discover why your child

should grow up here — it could make all the difference in the world. Grades: Preschool-8thEnrollment: 185Student/Faculty Ratio: Preschool 8:1, K-8 12:1Tuition: Preschool and half-day Kindergarten $2,190-$5,190; full day K-8 $5,990.

Bixby School serves preschool through 5th grade children in a picturesque environ-

ment in south Boulder. Founded in 1970, the school emphasizes the development of criti-cal thinking skills, hands-on/experiential learning, and the academic, social, and emo-tional growth of each child. These objectives are accomplished by talented teachers in small classes (5-8 students) who provide per-sonalized instruction to meet and challenge every child’s needs.

Bixby also focuses on depth of learning across all disciplines — math, science, humanities, and the arts. Bixby’s graduates regularly report they feel they have a deeper understanding of concepts than their fellow middle schoolers.

Parents appreciate Bixby’s flexible extended day: 7:15 a.m.-5:45 p.m.

At Ziji Early Elementary we work to create a rich, meaningful and embodied educa-

tional journey for our mixed aged class of 20 children aged 4- to 9-years-old, and two teachers. Our differentiated curriculum allows each student to work at the edge of their aca-demic understanding in an active, engaged way. Our allegiance to play encourages social/emotional development and self-understanding and furthers future skills in storytelling, design and creative inventing of all kinds. Our con-templative teaching practice cuts conventional speed and nurtures an appreciation for the simple joy, wonder and limitless possibility inherent in each and every school day.

Experienced teachers offer a developmentally-appro-priate, experiential approach to education that inte-

grates the arts and academics on our expansive 38 acres.

Pre-schoolers and kindergarteners enjoy a play-based curriculum with an emphasis on movement and sensory integration. Children learn mathematics, liter-acy and science through practical activities indoors in natural home-like classrooms and outside in nature.

In first grade, our gentle approach guides elemen-tary students with a remarkably rich Waldorf curricu-lum of Mathematics, Sciences, Language Arts, Literature, History and Geography as well as German, Mandarin, Eurythmy (expressive dance), Physical, Handwork, Painting and Instrumental Music.

The faculty partner with parents to provide an environment of support and strength to meet the growing expectations and independence of the adolescent. Additionally middle schoolers embrace rigorous learning that addresses the intellectual, social, emotional and physical development of older children. The academic curriculum helps students make con-nections among subject areas as diverse as drama, poetry, algebra, geometry, physics, Roman history, modern history, astronomy and chemistry.

Our 21 year tradition of strong academics, artistically taught, includes parent-child early childhood classes, enrichment classes, afterschool programs and summer camps.

Broomfield Academy is a nation-ally accredited, high-quality,

independent private preschool, ele-mentary and middle school for chil-dren ages 2-and-a-half to 14. It is known for having small class sizes and an individualized approach. Enrollment is open for full-day kin-dergarten, full- or part-time aca-demic preschool and grades 1–8. The school also offers a variety of educational and fun summer pro-grams including an academic pre-school, a kindergarten prep class, an elementary prep class, an intermedi-ate prep class and a summer enrich-ment camp.

In all of its programs there is a strong focus on learning. The school focuses on academ-ic excellence through the development and implementation of individual student-learning goals and a well-rounded and advanced curriculum to help children reach their fullest potential. In addition to a very strong core-academic program, the school offers specialty courses to all students in world language (Mandarin Chinese and Spanish), world music, dance, swimming (in a very warm onsite saltwater swimming pool), art, technology and physical education.

Broomfield Academy maintains a focus on character development that includes a “core virtue of the month” program, along with significant community service and charitable involvement. Broomfield Academy also offers a before- and after-school program for work-ing parents with programs throughout its five-acre campus.

Just as children see the pos-sibility and potential in

every situation we, at the Off Broadway Preschool of Fine Arts, see the possibility in every child. We recognize that to invest in the future we must invest time and energy in our world’s future leaders, our children. Therefore, we offer a program rich in creative out-lets, and opportunities for discovery.

We believe not only in the beautiful uniqueness of every individual, but also in the interconnectedness of all life. Because of this, we strive for individualized attention for each child, in the context of our small, yet vibrant class groups. We accomplish this with low teacher to child ratios, a gifted staff, and a creative and compassionate approach to learning.

We understand that preschool is a precious time of human development in emotional, social, spiritual, and intellectual areas, and to neglect any of these areas would provide an incomplete education. Through our partnerships with parents and families we work to ensure that each child is growing and developing in al of these areas. With our focus on the creative arts we equip children with the flexibility, curiosity, and creativity to achieve a robust personal potential within the context of our world family.

Peace, Love, and Laughter. Emily L’Hommedieu — Director
