The General BBA offers students from Canada, and all over the globe,

Student Benefits IntakesDOMESTIC STUDENTS

All Canadian citizens and permanent residents can benefit from a 35% tuition bursary in Ontario and a 45% tuition bursary in British Columbia. The tuition bursary is only applicable to all courses completed on-campus.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Graduates may become eligible to apply for their Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), which may be valid up to 3 years. A student’s spouse or common-law partner may apply for an open work permit.

International students are only eligible to apply for PGWP if they have continuously studied full-time in Canada with more than 50% of their studies completed on-campus. International students who only study online would not be eligible to apply.

Students who plan on enrolling with the Bachelor of Business Administration program need to meet the following requirements:

ONTARIO

High School Graduates

High School diploma with at least a 65% average in six courses from the U/M level or equivalent including: Grade 12 English (ENG4U or equivalent), Grade 12 Math (U or M Level).

College or University Graduates

Graduates of 2 to 3-year college or university programs will be considered for block transfer credits of up to a maximum of 60 credits; to be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

BRITISH COLUMBIA

Completion of a Grade 12 program leading to a British Columbia Certificate of Graduation, or the equivalent, with at least a 65% in the following:

• Any Mathematics 11 or Mathematics 12

• Any English 12 course

NEW BRUNSWICK

Successful completion of 9 credit hours of post-secondary study (or equivalent) with a minimum GPA of 2.0 (or equivalent).

General Admission Requirements

English Language Requirements

There are four annual intakes to get you started as soon as you are ready for a challenging and rewarding academic program.

If English is not your primary or native language and you have completed your previous education in a language other than English, you will need to provide proof of English language proficiency. Yorkville University’s ESL Pathway Program enables students, with less than the minimum required IELTS scores, to be accepted to Yorkville University programs in Ontario.

ONTARIO

Students with IELTS or equivalent score of 5.5 and higher will enroll in Yorkville University’s regular academic program.

• Students with scores above 5.5 but below 6.5 will enroll in the regular academic program and will enroll in an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course in Term 1.

• For scores between 4.5 and 5.5, students will have to successfully complete Level 2 of the ESL Pathway Program.

• For scores between 4.5 and 4.0, students will have to successfully complete Level 1 and Level 2 of the ESL Pathway Program.

All students completing Level 2 of the ESL Pathway Program are eligible to start their academic program and will enroll in an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course in Term 1.

Students without an IELTS score will be asked to complete the Oxford Placement Test to determine their placement in either (a) Beginner Pathway (b) Level 1 (c) Level 2 of the ESL Pathway Program or (d) enter their degree/diploma program directly or with a concurrent English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course.

BRITISH COLUMBIA

Students with an IELTS score of 6.0 and higher will enroll in Yorkville University’s regular academic program.

• Students with an IELTS score of 6.0 but below 6.5 will enroll in the regular academic program and will enroll in an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course in Term 1.

Please note: There is no ESL Pathway Program available at Yorkville University’s British Columbia campus at this time. Eligible applicants will be

referred to one of the University’s ESL pathway partners.

NEW BRUNSWICK
