Instructor BioMargo Prim Haynes, PT, DPT, PCS, C/NDT, is a NDTA Coordinator Instructor for the NDT/Bobath Pediatric Certificate Course and Advanced Courses. She has presented numerous continuing education courses in the United States with emphasis on children with neurological disorders. Margo graduated with a certificate in physical therapy from the University of Pennsylvania. She received her doctorate degree in physical therapy from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 2OO8. She has worked over 35 years as a physical therapist in a variety of clinical settings including home-based early intervention, hospital, school and clinical programs. Margo is currently self-employed working with physically challenged infants, young children, adolescents and their families in North Carolina. She serves as adjunct faculty at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Margo is a Pediatric Clinical Specialist, certified by ABPTS in 2OO8. Margo is published in the area of NDT and modified CIMT. Margo is a member of NDTA’s Curriculum committee and a contributor to NDT in Action.

Course DescriptionBaby Treatment: An NDT Model for Practice, a 2-day course will introduce participants to NDT-based therapeutic handling and problem-solving strategies which are designed to support the development of infants from birth to 18-months. Current motor control, postural control and motor learning literature will be explored and blended with NDT-based principles of baby treatment within the context of the NDT Practice Model. Participants will gain insights into the process of development during the first 18-months of life, and will learn age- specific NDT-based therapeutic handling strategies to foster acquisition of skills for the baby during this critical window of development. Classroom and laboratory-based learning experiences coupled with video-based analysis of developing infants and a patient demonstration will provide the clinician with knowledge and skills which will translate into his/her daily clinical practice.

Cancellation Policy

A refund/voucher towards future course will be issued to all participants when a course is cancelled. This will be completed by check payment or credit card refund, dependent on method of payment utilized by course attendee. Option to select voucher/refund at the participants preference.

Cancellations received no less than 10 days before the course are refundable minus a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations after this deadline.

If a participant is no longer able to attend, substitutions are permitted if email approval is sought out and approved no less than 7 days before the course. If a participant registers and does not attend/arrive for the course, they are still liable for the full cost of the course.
