According to the values of the T.J. Pledge, we collaborate by:• Valuing our self and every coworker as an equal part of tone

great team working together• Treating others in a way that I would like to be treated• Participate only in conversations that are courteous, respectful,

and reflect positively on my teammates and TJ Regional Health• Foster a calm and pleasant atmosphere, and refrain from

gossip rumors, and insults• Speak honestly, seek truth, and act with integrity towards my

teammates• Value the uniqueness and expertise that each team member

contributes to the whole• Meet the need of the moment regardless whether or not it is

considered part of my job.

The following is a portion of the submission that received about Joe:

"At the Women’s Conference a few weeks ago, it was noticed that one of our department tables was missing some brochures and rack cards that they had left in their area. We called the Courier number and Joe was working that day. We asked if he could please pick those up and deliver to us in the Cave City Convention Center. As always, Joe was happy to do it! In just minutes it seemed, we had the materials that the team needed. I know it disrupted Joe’s day and his schedule to do that for us so quickly, but you’d never know it. He had a wonderful smile on his face as always!

Congratulations to this month’s Service Excellence Award Winners!

Congratulations to DEBBIE and JOE, and THANK YOU for the excellent service you provide to your

patients at TJRH every day!If you would like to nominate someone for a Service Excellence Award, you may fill out a nomination form on the intranet, print the form in this

newsletter, or pick up a form outside the cafeteria.

JOESTURGEON

has been selected as the April winner of the TJRH Service Excellence Award for COLLABORATION!

DEBBIEJOLLY

has been selected as the April winner of the TJRH Service Excellence Award for COMMUNICATION!

According to the values of the T.J. Pledge, we communicate by:• Smiling at everyone• Always introducing our self, our role, and our purpose• Using body language, eye contact, and tone of voice that shows

respect in every interaction• Following the 10/5 rule: Always acknowledging people at 10 feet

away with a smile and always greeting people at 5 feet away• Escorting any customer in need to their destination.

Debbie was recognized for showing these qualities and more when dealing with customers. The following is the submission that was received about Debbie:

"When I think about traits listed on the TJ Pledge, I think of my friend and co-worker Debbie Jolly. She treats others like she would like to be treated and values every co-worker as an equal part of one great team. One of the several “C”s that she excels in is communication. She is excellent in traits such as allowing her smile to be heard over the phone line, or discreetly tempering the way she speaks to accommodate every individual’s communication style. She will take that extra moment to ask how someone is doing instead of just transferring their call with a click. Don’t we always notice, even on a subliminal level, the employee who goes the extra mile to do these things? I know our patients do, and Debbie delivers that extra ounce of effort with every call she receives, every single day. Her kindness, patience, and professional integrity shine through when you observe her efforts to care for the members of our community. I can’t think of many people whom I feel deserve to be recognized for their efforts in communication more than Debbie Jolly. "

Last week, we recognized National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week, an annual celebration of the medical laboratory professionals and pathologists, who play a critical role in every aspect of health care at T.J. Regional Health. These individuals often work behind the scenes to support our patients, employees, and physicians, but are crucial to the delivery of high quality, safe, accurate care. We are thankful to have them as part of the T.J. Team!
