    techniqueTriangle-Squares.With right sidestogether and the lighter fabric ontop, pair one square of each colorthat makes theunit. On thelighter patch,draw a diago-

    nal line fromcorner to corner.

    Stitch 14out

    from both sidesof the line.

    Cut apart onthe markedline.

    With the darkerfabric up, openout the top patch and press the

    block.

    A pair of squares will yield 2 units.

    2Assembling the Quilt TopJoin the blocks to make the rowsas shown. Starting and ending with arow 1, sew the rows together.

    Set aside 2 teal print strips for theborder #1 side strips. Sew 3 teal printstrips together and cut 2 lengths of43" for the border #1 top and bottomstrips. Sew the border #1 side stripsto the quilt and trim any extra length.

    Add the border #1 top and bottomstrips in the same way. Repeat to addborder #2.

    3Quilting and FinishingMatching the center mark of thePaisley Flourish Quilting(on page 6)with the center of a block, mark themotif 4 times in each block, rotating

    the motif as shown in the quiltingplacement diagram. Draw curvedlines, as shown in red, to connect theblocks. Mark the motifs in the borderas shown, marking partial motifsand curved lines, as shown in red, toconnect the motifs. Layer and bastetogether the backing, batting and quilttop. Quilt the motifs and marked lines.

    The binding strips in the photographedquilt were cut on the bias. If you wouldlike to do the same, more fabric may be

    needed. Bind the quilt.
