• Lockcases n° 35000-720 and 35300-720 can be used with the handles without base.

• The lockcases are made entirely of non-corroding materials.

• The installation is only possible for vents over 685 mm high.

• Lockcase n° 35000-720 can be used for Chrono Standard and Chrono Plus.

• The set n° 35300-720 for Chrono Safe consist of a lockcase n° 35000-720 and a thickness piece n° 30340-632-1.

1.2. Drilling protection n° 35300-720-6• The optional drilling protection can be used in combination

with lockcases n° 35000-720, 35000-721, 35300-720 and 35300-721.

• The drilling protection is made of a hardened steel plate (60HRC).

• Installation: place the drilling protection on the pin at the back side of the lockcase.

• Profile preparation: mill 1 mm deeper than the groove tooth compared to the milling for the lockcases.

Assembly in closed position

Use of a temporary handle n° 30000-957 or n° 30000-670-5

• If the final handle is not yet mounted during the construction phase, it is mandatory to temporarily mount the building site handle (or cover) to avoid dust and dirt in the base.

• The handle is assembled and disassembled in the same way as the final handle.

• The handle can be used for the assembly of the fittings with the intention to transport the window afterwards without the final handle.

• The use of the assembly handle should be restricted to maximum 8 hours because otherwise internal damage can occur.

2. Handles without base2.1. General

• The Edge handles n° 30000-673 (CYL), 30000-674, 31000-673CYL and the Horizon handles n° 30000-670 (CYL), 30000-671, 31000-670CYL have the same design as the corresponding door handles. So these handles can be used next to one another with the advantage of having the same appearance.

• The high security system Chrono Safe must always be operated by cylinder locking handles. The cylinder locking handle can be locked in closed position.

• To use with Chrono lockcase n° 35000-720 and n° 35300-720 (only CYL version).• Finish:

- N° 30000-670, 30000-673: Grip in aluminium and base in zinc alloy, always polyester powder coated in more than 450 RAL colours.

• The locked cylinder handle has a free run from 0° to 90° which means that the window can always be put in the tilt or ventilation position. The turn position can only be obtained with an unlocked cylinder.

General• The Horizon handles have the same design as the Horizon door handles. So these handles can be used

next to one another with the advantage of having the same appearance.

4.3. Sobinox handles

General• The Sobinox window handles are manufactured from high-grade stainless steel AISI 304 and are supplied

in satin finish.

• These handles can be used in many different sectors due to their aesthetic, practical, maintenance friendly and hygienic properties: e.g. private houses, hospitals, catering, industry, ... .

• All handles are non-handed, except for the cylinder locking handles with free run.

• Suitable for aluminium, wood and PVC.

• Versions: - Grips: 3 types. - Backplate: rounded or rectangular.

• This design has been extended to the range of door handles for doors and sliding doors. In this way, a uniform look and seamless integration in any architectural style is obtained. For more information about these products we refer to the relevant chapters.

• The window handles are supplied with a steel zinc plated square spindle of 7 mm. Available in lengths of 25 and 38 mm.

• A number of generation 1 Sobinox door handles are still available with cylinder: - Handles with cylinder and with free run

- 1752CYL-.. - 1757CYL-..

The handles have a free run up to 90° and are only suitable for tilt-turn windows.The handles are left hand or right hand, to specify when ordering.

Maintenance instructions• Maintenance should be carried out at suitable intervals to prevent surface corrosion and for reasons of

hygiene.

• Normal maintenance - Clean the stainless steel parts regularly. - Treat the surface with soapy water or with a mild detergent. - Rinse of the detergent with clean water. - Polish with a soft cloth or sponge.

• Never use - Scouring powders. - Steel wool or steel brushes. - Highly abrasive materials.

• The handles with longer fork are available in 5 types:

• Besides the dimension X, the profiles must meet a number of profile requirements to obtain a good installation of the fittings. The required profile dimensions can be found on page B11.11.03.

6.8. Handles with sloping base

Characteristics

• The handles with sloping base are used in situations where the frame profile obstructs the grabbing of the grip.

• General characteristics: see page B11.15.24.

• The base is provided with 2 hook-in pins which engage into the profile in order to have a solid fixing.

• Also available as cylinder locking handle (CYL).

• The handle is only available as type ‘S’ with the fixing holes at a distance of 98 mm.

6.11. Reinforcement piece for handle n° 30000-691 and -692

• The reinforcement pieces produce a more solid fixing of the handle.

• This piece serves as a clamping plate and prevents deformation of the profile wall or in extreme situations prevents the fixing screws being pulled through profiles with thin walls.

• Choice between 2 pieces depending on fixing hole configuration: - N° 30000-691: standard handle - N° 30000-692: handle type ‘S’

• Note: only the fixing holes at 82 mm and 84 mm are possible in combination with the Chrono Safe connection piece.

• The patterns apply to every Edge handle.

• Not possible for handles with cylinder.

• The gemstones are possible in white and blue.
