NEWS GALORE FOR GENOA

As always at their home fair, Azimut Yachts and Atlantis are flexing their muscles. Their

impressive roster of 24 boats at the Genoa show includes 4 world premières and 3 models

never before seen in Italy.

October 2012 - As ever, Azimut is sailing against the tide. At Genoa, with the Azimut Yachts and

Atlantis brands, its exhibition space will be full to bursting in a major tour de force. The new craft to

be unveiled are of various types and sizes: open, long-range and flybridge, from 10 to 26 metres.

Atlantis is showing the new Atlantis 34, first unveiled in Cannes, from the Magellano Collection.

Azimut presents the compact 43HT and its flagship model, the 76, while the flybridges on display

include the mid-range Azimut 54 and the firm’s latest large pleasure boat, the Azimut 84.

These will be accompanied by another 15 craft at the Azimut stand and no less than 4 in the sea-

trials area.

With all their latest innovations, Azimut Yachts and Atlantis are firmly underlining their position as

the leading brands in the world pleasure-boat sector. It has also broadened its range at both ends,

from the smallest boats to the top ones. But it is not just for breadth of range that Azimut leads the

market. The company also has the biggest and best-distributed sales network: after the recent

agreements with Marina Estrella, the new Atlantis dealer in Spain, there are now as many as 74

official Azimut and Atlantis dealers in 120 countries worldwide.

ATLANTIS 34

Atlantis 34, the latest from the Azimut Benetti Group’s open “specialist”, was created for the

upcoming boating season: it’s a completely new design, an aggressive response by Neo Design and

the Atlantis Design Department incorporating the distinctive style and features of the larger models

while entrusting the engineering to Seaway.

Presenting a new model with a hull length of less than ten meters also signifies that Atlantis intends

to resume its place in the medium/small sector. Atlantis 34 is the result of an impressive

prerequisite, challenging to achieve: being contemporaneously a great open and a great cruiser.

This means intensive effort was put into maximizing the open spaces as well as the interior areas,

where you’ll find a master cabin separated from the rest of the interior in addition to a pleasant

open space in the bow that is both convertible and well-lit thanks to the hull’s large windows.

MAGELLANO 43HT

Magellano 43HT is the first model of the Collection without fly but with hard top. This configuration

is particularly suited to yachtsmen who not only enjoy boating on the open seas but also inland

waters. Its low height clearance enables the boat to navigate smoothly under fixed bridges on the

main rivers and canals. Furthermore: the mast is available also in folding version, to allow the boat

to lower further its clearance for the lowest of overhead navigating obstacles. With the mast down,

the minimum height clearance from the surface of the water is only 3.5 m.

The HT version is also rewarding for those who love sailing in the sun and fresh air, with 4 glass

windows on the hard top, two of which can be opened to let in the sunshine and scents of nature.

AZIMUT 54

One of the strong points of Azimut Yachts is the steady research and the careful attention to

clients’ and markets’ requirements. A continuous effort to improve its production, very challenging

when dealing on the top. The new Azimut 54 is heir to Azimut 53, one of the hit flybridges of the

shipyard. The new model has a completely new exterior design, with connotations far more

sporting and elegant thus maintaining the strong experience as to structures and equipments. The

new solutions for habitability make the real difference. The Style Department hardly worked to

redefine the interior design and the decorative details as well as the deck layout in order to give

more comfort and functionality to the saloon and to the dinette. Azimut 54 is 16.70 m length, 4.95

m max beam, with a V-shape keel angle of deadrise 12° aft and two x diesel engines MA R6 730

mHP, 33 knots maximum speed, 28 knots cruising speed.

AZIMUT MAGELLANO 76

The Magellano 76 comes from an evolution of the Magellano 74, the first model in the collection of

modern and sophisticated long range Azimut Yachts, conceived to once again renew the offer

market. The design goals behind the Magellano models remain autonomy, the maximum cruising

comfort even at low speeds and the freedom to go at higher speeds when necessary.

The Magellano 76, compared to the previous 74, is two feet longer but, above all, it becomes even

more versatile in use of the spaces on board. It keeps the atmosphere warm and welcoming and, at

the same time, offers the possibility of having on board larger surface areas ensuring maximum

privacy for the owner, guests and crew.

The new layout made it possible to offer 4 cabins (8 berths) and 4 bathrooms from amidship to bow

for the owner and guests, 2 cabins (3 berths) aft for the crew, with galley and laundry area.

AZIMUT 84

Twenty six metres of design, style and contents to offer maximum cruising comfort. These the

characteristics of the new flagship, Azimut 84, one of the Azimut yachts “signed” by Stefano Righini

for exterior styling and concept, with interior design by Achille Salvagni, who already worked for

Azimut 88 which most interesting solutions in this new boat have been even improved as to

comfort and look. Approved as pleasure craft, Azimut 84 is 25.69 m length and the two x diesel

Caterpillar CAT 32 1723 mHp engines allow 22 knots maximum speed and 24 knots cruising speed

with over 320 miles fuel distance.
