STAFFING

Tanya Fathers (Student Well Being) will be finishing at Axedale Primary School next Tuesday. Tanya has

accepted a position at another Bendigo school. We wish her well with her future endeavours.

uEducateUs – NEW SCHOOL COMMUNICATION APP

Parents should have received information and passwords in a letter and email now. We are asking all parents

to download the App.

Staff will use the system to mark the roll, record positive behaviours, record incidents, generate reports and

communicate with families.

HINT OF THE WEEK: KIOSK LOGIN CODE

When parents come to the office to sign their child/ren out using the iPad you will need a Kiosk login code.

This has been setup, but parents may want to change this to a code that is more memorable.

To view or change your Kiosk login code log into the uEducateUs app go to My Profile and My Kiosk Login

Code. To change the code click the Edit My Kiosk Login Code. Codes need to be 6 digits or more.

PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEW BOOKINGS

We will be conducting Parent Teacher Interviews on Wednesday 26th February. These sessions will be a

chance to get together to share important information about the students and to set some goals for the term

ahead. Bookings are now available through the new uEducateUs App. Please contact Katrina if you are having

trouble making a booking.

PARENTS, VOLUNTEERS & FRIENDS

The Parents, Volunteers & Friends (PVF) group meet once a month to plan our school fundraising and special

events. We are looking for helpers to come along to our first meeting for the year next Tuesday 18th February

at 2.30pm. A possible alternative to attending all meetings is to volunteer assistance for a specific fundraising

event. E.g. Mother’s Day Stall, Hot Cross Bun Drive. These possibilities may be discussed next Tuesday.

GYMNASTICS

Beginning on Friday 28th February, all P-6 students will be travelling to the Bendigo YMCA each Friday

afternoon to take part in a four week Gymnastics Program. The program will be conducted at Palmer’s Gym

in the Mundy St. YMCA building. There is a $50 charge to cover the cost of the bus and entry fees which is

included as part of the excursion levy.

A note is in your family envelope this week with full details of this program. If your note is not stamped PAID

it means there is still money owing for this excursion. Thanks for your prompt payment.

STUDENT ENROLMENT INFORMATION FORM

Included in your family envelope today is a student enrolment information form. It is extremely important that

the school has up to date information about your children and their contacts etc. We ask that all details are

checked and any alterations made. Please return the signed form to school ASAP. Many thanks for your

support in this matter.

MESSAGE FROM CITY OF GREATER BENDIGO

Parking Services from the City of Greater Bendigo have contacted our school and requested that the

following information be conveyed to our school community.

The illegal parking of vehicles adjacent to our school poses a safety concern to children, pedestrians and

other road users. Parents are reminded that it is essential to comply with parking restrictions when

dropping off and collecting children from school.

Motorists must not stop in no stopping areas, even briefly, with or without the motor running. They must not

stop next to a continuous yellow edge line, on nature strips, too close to school crossings, park over

driveways or double park. A number of schools have short term time restricted areas, such as 2 minute pick

up drop off. These parking areas are in place to allow for ease of access close to schools and these

restrictions must be adhered to. Drivers should also be aware that they cannot perform a U-turn over an

unbroken or continuous dividing line.

With regard to children’s crossings, the law requires that a driver approaching a children’s crossing must

drive at a speed at which the driver can, if necessary stop safely before the crossing. Please slow down and

take extra care when driving in school zones.

City of Greater Bendigo Parking Officers and Bendigo Police do conduct random patrols throughout the

school year at various locations to ensure that motorists are adhering to the Road Rules.

QUICK SHEAR

Axedale Kinder, Axedale CFA and the Axedale

assist where possible. A couple of hours of volunteer

time will greatly assist in making the event a

wonderful community success and assist in making

the fund raising activity a success. Volunteer time

sheets are available in the school office. Parents can

fill in a time in person or phone Katrina to book at

suitable time. A return slip is also included later in the
