The following few pages contain summary of student evaluations of classes recently taught. The evaluation was prepared by Professor Curtis Rhodes.
SERVICE: The focus of my service activities is to enhance the thermo-fluid research and teaching effort at the University of South Carolina, and to provide community service for our community. With this goal and passion I have been very active in efforts that would provide exposure and recognition to the thermofluid research and instruction at the University of South Carolina. I have therefore been very active with the professional societies. I have been active in participating and organizing professional meetings. These activities have provided national/international recognition of the thermo-fluid group at the University of South Carolina. On a personal level my involvement with professional societies has resulted in several recognitions and teaching awards. In local community service I have served as faculty advisor of the ASME student chapter at USC and the National Society of Black Engineers at USC. I have also mentored and guided high-school and college students. The list of some of my service activities are given below: List of Present Service: • Chair, Undergraduate Studies Committee & the Director of Undergraduate Studies • Senator, University of South Carolina Faculty Senate • Faculty Advisor ASME, student Chapter at the University of South Carolina • KCR for the ASME Heat Transfer Conference, 2003 in Las Vegas, NV • K-committee Representative (ASME HTD K-20) for National Heat Transfer Conference
