2021 was based on the construction of a "happy society that contributes to building a green

environmental risks. We affirm our commitment to the directives of His Highness Sheikh

Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, to make

Ajman an environmentally friendly city. The importance of the emirate and the environment

to the environment is not something new, as Sheikh Zayed has taken care of the environment,

protecting its resources and sustainable development. Due to Sheikh Zayed's achievements,

the UAE has received many awards and awards from international and regional organizations.

As a result, an international award was launched, entitled "Hamid Bin Rashid International

Award for Sustainability", which calls for the promotion of sustainability and conservation of

the environment and its resources, which are carried out by individuals, institutions and

companies, aiming at achieving the continuous use of resources and improving the

Introduction

The Government of Ajman gives special attention to everything that is new and

contributes to the vision of the Emirate and the vision of the UAE 2021. Sustainability, the

preservation of the environment and its resources are one of its most important principles.

As the Municipality and Planning Department is a key and main part of Ajman government, it

supports sustainability. The Department of Municipality and Planning organizes some events

that support the environment as well as sustainability in the presence of prominent regional

and international figures in the field of sustainability and discuss the applicability of modern

technologies in the environment and climate such as the UAE. The Ajman International

Conference on Environment and Sustainability and the Green Buildings and Cities Workshop

are one of the events organized by the Department to support and adopt sustainability and

conservation of the environment and its resources, and the Department is working to

implement some of the principles of sustainability issued by the United Nations. The launch

of the Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid International Award for Sustainability has been announced

to encourage individuals and institutions to learn about the technologies offered.

About the Award

The Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid International Award for Sustainability is a recent award

as it was launched at the 5th Ajman International Environment Conference in March 2018

under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the

Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman. The award aims at honoring and promoting everything

related to sustainability whether it is sustainability research or personalities with

contributions in the field. The award is also awarded to institutions that establish and apply

sustainability principles and become an example for other institutions.

Terms& Conditions

1- Best Research Award for Sustainable Cities

Conditions & Terms The research should include any relevant journals on the integrated management of natural

resources, the protection of the urban environment from pollution and the application of the

concept of socially, economically and environmentally sustainable development in green

technology to serve communities.

The research should be applied in a clear way to support the sustainable

development of cities and the preservation of public health and the environment

To include solutions and alternatives for the optimal use of natural resources and

utilization of the remnants of human activities through the realization of the

concepts of rationalization, recycling and reuse in cities

Priority is given to research papers published in scientific journals.

The Research is not getting any award before

The research should have applications suitable to the regional environment of the

Arab region and the nature of the climate of the Middle East.

The use and applicability of the research results.

The research should be in English.
