Aims of Module
To enhance personal development, outwith the formalcurriculum, and encourage students to undertakeextracurricular activity. To recognise the range of extracurricular activity whichstudents engage in, beyond the formal curriculum, and thepersonal growth and skills development derived from suchactivities. To enable students to reflect on, and evaluate, personal growthand skills development arising from extracurricular activity. To enable students to demonstrate how the skills/ experiencesgained via engagement in extracurricular activity might benefit
their planned career.
Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be ableto:
1. Undertake, and select, appropriate extracurricular activity inorder to achieve the aims.
2. Produce a self crafted portfolio to evidence to record theactivity undertaken and learning achieved through the chosenactivity.
3. Demonstrate the impact of the chosen activity.4. Reflect on the personal growth and skills development,
including potential benefits to their employability.

The content of the experience will vary dependent on theactivities undertaken. Each student should considerextracurricular activity which will enable the learning outcomesto be met.

Mode of Delivery
The module is self paced and self directed. Primarily the modulewill be completed via the undertaking of extracurricular activityand the preparation and development of an electronic evidenceportfolio. In addtion students may access support resources andworkshops as required.
