Perform avionics line maintenance and avionics installations. 2. Good leadership skills. 3. Good communication skills. Communicates regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues. 4. Must be able to read, understand and accomplish maintenance manual procedures. Must be able to read wire prints, research, and order parts. 5. Must be able to accomplish tasks within allotted time and/or give reports to justify time overages. 6. Ensuring that the repair and installations of all articles and components within their jurisdiction is accomplished within the authority of the repair station and that the Quality Assurance Department, when applicable inspects the work. 7. The proper handling of all parts while in repair process through the shop and when work is completed. 8. Responsible for reporting to the Avionics Manager and/or Customer Service Representive if a project is not going to be completed on time. 9. Work with Avionics Manager and/or Customer Service Representive with updates and information on aircraft daily. 10. Analyze avionics quotes and advise management and sale department of needed changes. 11. Ensure that all avionics technicians are adequately qualified prior to assigning them to any maintenance function. 12. Customer interaction and communication as needed. 13. Assist with avionics quotes for installs, repairs and parts. Set return to service dates and times as needed. 14. Expected to put in overtime required to complete job assignment.

AVIONICS LEAD TECHNICIAN

The Lead Technician reports to the Avionics Manager.

15. To insure that the maintenance of the shop premises are kept in a clean and orderly manner. All shop equipment is put back to proper location after use.

16. Other jobs and duties may be assigned at the discretion of the company.

PREREQUISITES  

1. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Avionics and/or related field work with 8 to 12 years

Avionics Corporate Jet experience (preferably holds an A&P license and Hawker /

Learjet experiance).

2. Pass FAA drug and alcohol program and random testing.

3. Read and understand English.

4. Study Repair Station Manual and pass Repair Station Manual exam.

5. Study Repair Station Quality Control Manual and pass Repair Station Quality Control

Manual exam.

6. Study Repair Station Training Manual and pass Repair Station Training Manual exam.

7. Study FAA FAR’s and pass Haggan Aviation training FAR exam.

8. Study FAA RVSM requirements and pass Haggan Aviation training RVSM exam.

9. Proficient in Computer applications: MSWord, Excel, AutoCAD, and the Internet.

10. Show proficiency with avionics test equipment and inspection tools.

PAY  SCALE  

1. Hourly Pay rate $31.00 to $38.00.

2. Time and a half for overtime worked past 40 hours.
