He has been especially integral to expanding the company’s digital footprint, augmenting its rise into a 21st-century innovator. Prior to founding Republic, Monte served in executive roles everywhere from SBK to Atlantic Records. Outside music, his continuing charitable work includes sitting on the boards of the Amy Winehouse Foundation, DKMS (Delete Blood Cancer), and The T.J. Martell Foundation, which honored him as “Humanitarian of the Year” in 2010 and in 2014 at the annual Family Day Gathering. UJA-Federation has named him 2015’s “Music Visionary of the Year.” Monte remains an active member of his synagogue as well.
