How did they overcome the most impacting moments of there lives?

Avenged Sevenfold will keep achieving their goals no matter what.

How did they start? The band was formed in 1999 in

Huntington beach, California. It did not take long for M Shadows,

Zacky Vengence, Synyster Gates, The Rev. and Johnny Christ to make an impression with their aggresive hybrid of metal, hard rock, and punk-pop.

They were 18 and still attending high school when they made there official album “Sounding the Seventh Trumpet” in 2001.

They released another record in 2003 and made it in the Billboard, the Boston Globe, and they played in the Vans Warped Tour.

After the release of “Waking the Fallen” they left Hopeless Records and signed up to The Warner Bros. Records.

How did they overcome deaths of their love ones?

1996-2004

DIMBAG He is a guitar God to them and

when he died they could not believe it.

“The music changes to complement the feelings of each of the voices in the song,” Shadows said.”It was my way of dealing with the whole thing after it happened. I never got to meet Dimebag, but he and Slash are my two greatest guitar heroes.” – M Shadows

THE REV. “Jimmy will always be with me in

everything I do. Except sitting at home being sad so today I'm going to try to start living again forever”. –M Shadows

Even though it was to painful they had to keep going, they dedicated there record to Jimmy.

They were grateful to tell him how much they admired his music.

Mike Portnoy was his all time favorite drummer and he was doing the record with Avenged Sevenfold on behalf of Jimmy.

1981-2009

He had a appetite for drugs,

there were rumors of him doing heavy drug use.

At age 28 he was found dead in his beach house on December 28 at 1.pm.

It was said to be natural causes, but after researching his death it was caused by overdose.

It was revealed to have been an “acute polydrug in toxication combined with effects of oxycodone.

He knew how to tell his friends he loved them.

He was good at coming up with songs, he wrote in any style he wanted.

M Shadows M Shadow loses his voice , he had to undergo treatment, rest and cancel his tours. M Shadow admitted having throat infection and also throwing up before a concert

in Brighton, January 5, 2011. “I am really worried about my voice. I need to make sure to the concert but did not

hurt myself and I have to cancel other agenda”. M Shadows lost his voice by screaming to much on their first two albums, so he

was forced to use a different voice that will not involve screaming in his new album “City of Evil”.

Avenged lost a lot of fans, but they also gained a lot of new ones with the release of this album.

It’s a great album to the people that do not like metal, but it still has some touches that metal fans love.

Some people say they’re sell-outs and others have watched them as the saviors of metal.

What will they do next or accomplish? What does their album mean? The single “Nightmare” was

released on July 27,2010. “The new album ,”nightmare” is

dedicated to The Rev. Memory and although it’s not exactly a concept album, it does center around The Rev. The eeriest thing about it is there is a song on the album called “Fiction”(a nickname the rev gave himself) which started out the title “Death”. And the song was the last song The Rev wrote for the album and when he handed it in, he said, that it, that’s the song for this record. And then 3 days later, he died.” –M Shadows

The album was number 1 in the Billboard 200 with sales of 163,000 units in its first week.

In December 10 2010 Mike announced he will not be working with Avenged Sevenfold and Avenged Sevenfold announced Mike will not be replacing The Rev.

Avenged Sevenfold will be performing at the Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals on June 3-5, 2011, alongside other bands as Alter Bridge, System of a Down, and In Flames.
