AVAIR SL® BRACKETS CONT.

INNOVATIVE MATERIAL AND MANUFACTURINGAvair SL® brackets are made from a proprietary biocompatible material with a small amount of polycrystalline alumina for increased strength. The material and the manufacturing process for Avair SL® represents an advanced state of technology, art, and science. The brackets are clear and nearly invisible on the teeth. The material of the Avair SL® bracket won’t deform during treatment. Avair SL® delivers orthodontic forces without the brittle and abrasive characteristics of sapphire or ceramic. It will not shatter on removal. Avair SL® brackets are formed in a unique manner which incorporates the clip as one piece with the bracket giving it strength and eliminating the need to add or remove parts. With proper hygiene, Avair SL® brackets will remain clean and nearly invisible. There is no complicated door design. The bracket is easy to ligate time after time.

CLINICAL BENEFITS• This chart shows the superior torque strength of the

biocompatible material of Avair SL® brackets compared to traditional aesthetic brackets.

• High material stability• Maximum tie wing strength• Torque fracture resistance, better than ceramic or sapphire• High abrasion resistance• Material does not shatter when removing the bracket. It can

be removed and repositioned.

MECHANICAL LOCKING BASEThe Avair SL® brackets feature a mechanical locking base with micro-etching and additional undercuts on the base for improved bond strength. There is no need for any additional coating or silane. Shear Test results are available at www.OrthoQuest.com/AvairSL.

BONDING & DEBONDING

ORAPRO® Light Cure AdhesiveAvair SL® brackets are easily bonded to and removed from teeth. For best results in bonding, we recommend using ORAPRO® Light Cure or No Mix Adhesives. More information can be found on page 42.

G011C Aesthetic Debonding InstrumentWhen debonding Avair SL®, we recommend the Aesthetic Debonding instrument. This instrument grips the entire bracket firmly at the bracket and tooth interface to ensure a clean, smooth removal without breaking or shattering. This allows you to reposition brackets if necessary.

ARCHWIRE SEQUENCES Avair SL® brackets utilize the benefits of lighter forces and ultra-low friction. For best treatment results, we recommend using OrthoQuest® superelastic and heat treated nickel titanium arch wires. Stage 1 Initial 014, 016, 018Wire size determined by malocclusion

Stage 2 Retraction/Torquing 016, 018 014x025, 016x025, 017x025

Stage 3 Torquing and Finishing 017x025

To ensure proper clip function, wires must be used sequentially throughout treatment.
