“Hello,
I am Dilynn, I work as a Hostess part time at a local restaurant in Topeka. I also do somemodeling from time to time. I have been modeling for about a year and half. I give a lot ofcredit to my wonderful husband Jeff and to Jodine of LipSmack productions and LipSmackStudios and of course all of my wonderful photographers as well. I have also done A littleacting for the last three years, small parts in a Renfest play and small parts for local movies. I also do my own make-up.I am not a professional makeup artist but I love playing withmake-up it's my hobby of sorts. I’d have to say, My mom inspired me to go for my dreams,she said that I can do anything I want if I put my mind to it, I know she is still guiding me inspirit and that keeps me motivated. I am a huge fan of The Rockabilly Era. Theclothing, the music and especially thehairstyles. Even though Victory Rolls Dateback to the War in the 40’s, The style lastedfor many decades and is still relevant today. I asked a friend to present her take on thelook and here is a stepbystep tutorial.Introducing the hair and makeup mavenBrittany. Before you Begin, You will needthese items.*Bobby Pins*Comb*Teasing comb*Hair Tie*Curling iron*Hairspray
1. part hair down the side with bangs down or up. idecided to leave my bangs out
2. divide hair into front and back sections. pull backsection into a low side ponytail
3. take one section of the hair in the front andtease with a teasing comb
4. roll the section of the hair starting with the end,in towards the part
5. use bobby pins to pin down the rolls from theinside of the roll
6. use hairspray to lock in the rolls
7. you may have stray hairs hanging down in thefront, (like i do) these will be curled in a later step
8. repeat steps 36 on the other half of hair
9. curl pieces of hair that are out and hair that is inthe hair tie in the back

various deployments when i served in the US Army. I work with motorcycles, Mostly Harley Davidsons. I
have had in interest in photography since 2003 on one level or another starting out with an old Minolta
35mm. last year, i had gotten pretty serious about it and fell into the world of Digital SLR. Haven’t looked
back, I love it! My creative inspiration is the fact that i like to present real life, oftentimes with a twist. See
the best side of everything & try to share my interpretation of that vision through my lens. I am open to

My name is Ella Thompson I own EllaMental Photography based out of the Midwest. I ama 25 year old Full time college student and currently a resident in Wichita, Kansas. Myhome is where my heart is and that for me is anywhere along the coast. I have traveled theworld and I have been taking pictures not only to document but as a hobby my whole life, Itwasn't until about 4 years ago I realized how much I truly enjoyed it and decided to pursue itas a career. I like to think that what sets me apart from the rest is the fact that I tend to leanmore towards a grungy alternative and urban take on the classic photo with a hint of sexappeal. I shoot all types of models and subjects and I even dabble here and there in thescenery's of life. My camera does not discriminate. I do not work out of a studio right now Iprefer to keep it casual, comfortable and low key. I have traveling equipment so that I canset up anywhere and anytime. I have found that this makes for a more personal environment where being yourself isyour only option. I have been told by clients in the past that I am a "blast" to work with, whichI pride myself on. I am a firm believer that the best picture comes when your not determinedto pose. As for what inspires me, a little bit of everything. The simplest thing that can grabmy attention can also quickly become my muse. Whether it be a color dynamic, a vintageportrait, or an individual walking by. With every picture I take I see a new beginning. Thebeauty that can be captured in a single photograph is worth more to me than any story youcould tell. Every person has a message and I offer the ability to convey that messagewithout words.

Hidden talent at the ranch

“Something clicks in my head and I snap the shutter." This is when Cherie knows to pull theCamera out and snap a picture. She got her first camera on her 16th birthday, and her passion for photography wasstarted. Her first passion was horses, and for many years photography played second to thatinterest. But the two were always together, as the thousands of horse photos in photobooks can attest. Here in the last 5 years or so, she has become very serious aboutphotography, and has continued to upgrade her equipment as she has improved her skills.Thus Allowing her to take some amazing photos. Finding the Topeka Photographers FaceBook group, and participating in several groupshoots gave her confidence in shooting people, and she met many fabulous models andphotographers Along the way. Now the ideas keep coming, as seen in her 'Girls N Guitars'series Which is both original and creative."You can't stop learning to be a better photographer" Cherie says, and she has found someof her best pictures have been a collaboration between ideas she and the models share backand forth. Mateo Cruz rains from Wichita Kansas. The Artist/Producer has lived andseen his fair share of strife and struggle. The 28 year old rapper says he was kidnapped as achild, and at the age of 2, his uncle took a bullet for him. In 2009, he was homeless .Still with all these ups & downs New Era just knew that there were bigger and better things instore for him. After all, life is a beautiful struggle. Today New Era is setting out to turn the Musicscene on it’s ear and and bring in a NEW and improved ERA. Meet Khalil, A 22 year old senior Graduating from Northeastern University in Oklahoma.He like other 22 yr olds could have taken another path in life, Could have turned to the streets,Made excuses, Gave up, But he didn’t. He has lost family and friends to the “Street life” Heovercame the stereotypes and Directed his own life instead of caving to the pressure. Khalil was born with a Hole in his heart on top of a heart Murmur. So you would think thosehealth issues would have slowed him down in life. Not the case. He has been playing Sportssince Middle school. In 2007 he was a 2 time state Champ on Topeka High’s Track team.He has attended and played football for Coffeyville Red Ravens and Northeastern states’riverhawks defensive.
