Set in a distant future where the world is slowly being rebuilt after machines destroyed the planet, Stonerunner is an action-adventure in which a young boy must fight for his family and their freedom with the help of a benevolent robot.
The family title will begin pre-production in Australia and New Zealand in December 2020. It is a co-production between New Zealand’s Huhu Animation Studios, and Accent Media Group and FG Film Productions in Australia.
In a distant future, 14 year old Tyson stares out over the ruins of a long forgotten civilization which we soon came to realize is planet earth. When he stumbles across a long abandoned war ma-chine, something much more sophisticated than he has ever seen, a strange & powerful meeting of minds occurs and a strong friendship is formed. Together he and the robot find themselves caught up in a battle against the evil dictator Delacorte and his army, the Old Guard. Tyson finds himself fighting for his family, for choice, for freedom and optimism in the face of all odds.
It is scheduled for a December 2022 delivery, ahead of a 2023 theatrical release.

The unique animation is the passion project of writer-director-producer Ryan Braund, formerly a director at the BBC. Chris Hees of Bridge Way Films co-produces and Troy Russell composed the score.
SC Films intend to submit the film to festivals heading into 2021. Delivery is expected imminently.
Braund commented: “This film started out as a very personal, passion project. Due to the pandemic and lockdowns, I was then able to focus on the intricate hand-drawing – over 30,000 frames of animation! The film is not only a celebration of animation but also of what can be created remotely and in adverse circumstances.”

From award-winning Cannes / Venice / Toronto selected director Brillante Mendoza, GENSAN PUNCH is based on a true story and follows Nao Tsuyama, a disabled athlete who refuses to let his articifical leg hinder his dream to become a professional boxer.
His remarkable journey takes him from Japan to the Philippines, and specifically the celebrated ‘Gensan’ quarter which has spawned worldwide stars such as the legendary Manny Pacquiao.
Brillante Mendoza comments: “Working with the whole team – from the Philippines to Okinawa and Fukuoka, Japan was an enjoyable experience. While we are used to creating different films this particular genre is quite new to me, something exciting. This film is a tribute to boxers, those who fight in and out of the ring, and persevere in spite of the limitations set before them.”
The cast is led by Shogen (STREET FIGHTER: ASSASSIN’S FIST, DEATH NOTE, STAY) with Ronnie Lazaro, Beauty Gonzales and Kaho Minami taking supporting roles. Honee Alipio provides the screenplay.
GENSAN PUNCH is an English-language Japanese / Filipino co-production. Produced by Center Stage Productions (the Philippines) and Gentle Underground Monkeys (Japan).

Everyone around the world knows the story of Noah’s Ark, but you’ve never heard it told like this – 3 penguins, one boat, total chaos!

In a corner of Antarctica, three simple penguins have their blissful lives uprooted by the arrival of a dove with an invitation – an invitation to take a ‘cruise to a new world!’
Our bumbling heroes must be at the ark at 8, but the invitation has one strict rule, only two of every kind will be admitted. What chance do three penguins have? After setting sail on a polar bear pow-ered ice float and stowing away on this historic voyage, the plight of Pen, Goo & Wyn becomes a funny fable seen through the eyes of the animal passengers. The dove, on the word of Noah, is in charge of running the ark, every species has a role to play, from the king of the jungle to the gorilla guards. After clumsily trying to hide their existence the penguins are soon found out and the dove decrees that one of them must walk the plank! The chaos that ensues puts the whole ark in jeopardy, and it is soon left to the penguins to save the boat from sinking. Proving that in this case, maybe 3 penguins are better than 2.
With the tone of MADAGASCAR, ICE AGE and a bit of THE MARX BROTHERS, this new twist on an old tale takes a humorous look at conformity, classism and the gentle power of forgiveness. This is a must see film for all the family!
