Overview

• Stacki installs Linux hosts fast. Not only does it install Linux, but it will configure RAID, set up networking, and bring the complete system up to a ping and a prompt.

• Major Versions of Linux supported*RHEL/CentOS 6 and 7

Easy Installation

Front End:

It is simple to install Stacki. Delivered as an ISO, just drop it in a DVD drive or connect to the ISO from a VM, and boot up. Answer a few questions, and you’re off.

Backend Installation

• Merely tell Stacki about the server(s)you wish to install – via command lineor spreadsheet – and boot the serverwith a NIC on the same network asStacki.

• Alternatively, you can allow Stacki toassign things like IP address by tellingStacki to auto-install, and all serversthat boot on the subnet will be detectedand installed.

RAID Configuration

Feed Stacki a spreadsheet that tells it how to configure RAID arrays on individual machines, or a group of machines with the same RAID controller/config… And when they install, your config work will be done for you!

Reinstalling is Simple Too

Just tell Stacki that it needs to reinstall, and reboot the server in question. It will reinstall the OS, and then boot into it.

Parallel FTW!

• Whether one or one hundred servers, Stacki performs the complete install and config of your OS in about the same time, using a parallel installer.

• As much as could be parallelized has been – RAID config, partition formatting, server installation. All fast, all parallel. No sitting and waiting.

But Wait! There’s More!

• There is a lot more to Stacki than this introduction can show. Join us at the linksbelow to explore Stacki’s rich command structure and see how it answers yourproblems.
