We continue action to improve our software quality.

Automation Test Framework

Iterative development with greater collaboration

Expanded manual regression

Presenter
Presentation Notes
Iterative Development --– Collaboration - PM, QA, Doc & Dev work together on functionality from start to completion, daily meetings, team planning ---- Getting to working/testable software more quickly ---- Provide mechanism (monthly planning/reprioritization) for changing priorities ---- Monthly retrospective for continuous improvement Automation Test Framework JETF framework which allows developer to create fixture and then QA to create series of tests that can be checked in & run nightly - Added over 500 tests during past FY. Over 1300 tests now run nightly LoadRunner for performance / benchmark testing OATS – focus on scenario simulate UI. Focused resource (Umar). Expanded Regression tests - close to 500 manual regression tests each release (465 exact number)

17

6.3 Rollups – improvements over 6.2 Rollups

• Released every 4 months • Will be able to patch against specific Rollups • Can include more robust enhancements:

– Incremental DB additions – Incremental XML additions – Property / Parameter controlled enhanced functionality

• Improved upgrade experience – Due to more focus on incremental controls – if current – Working on reducing downtime for Rollups – if current

18

6.3 Rollups – similarities to 6.2 Rollups

• While we will have the ability to patch back: – Backports of bugs will still be on an exception basis – No backports of enhancements

• Same advice from Development: Stay Current! – No official line on Rollup age, but similar to current approach

we will not be able to patch back too many Rollups – they age!

• 6.3.1 will still be largely a bug fix Rollup for forward porting and critical bugs.

19

6.3 Rollups – Enhancement Areas

• Fleet • GTM • Multi-tier Planning • Load Configuration • More ‘Cloud’ enablement features

Question #1 • Why is no one answering my phone calls to

KOP? – We (OTM US Development) have moved. Our phone numbers

have changed. They were forwarded for about 20 minutes, then new numbers took over. Our new (BALA) address is:

3 Bala Plaza West Suite 700 Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 Phone numbers are: 610-538-xxxx

Question #2 • Is OTM ‘Cloud Compatible’? Is Oracle going to

provide a Cloud version of OTM?

– To answer the first part, yes, OTM is cloud compatible today. – For the second part, Oracle already offers many applications in the

cloud, and is providing the infrastructure (Exadata, Exalogic, Fusion Middleware) for Cloud Development. OTM in the cloud is coming and is a question of when, not if, and the when has yet to be determined.

Question #3 • Is OTM a Fusion App? Going to be a Fusion

App? Or not really part of Fusion?

– Fusion Apps have many great technical and functional benefits – We are currently working on co-existence features – OTM will be included in a Fusion release in the future – Our intention is to make this as incremental and seamless for our

customers – I can’t reveal anything about Fusion Release Dates
