PARKING LOT AUTOMATION

CAR (TRUCK) PARKING LOT SOLUTION Doing vehicles access control systems since 1996th we have experienced possibilities to develop one simply, easy to implement, use and first of all, modular car parking lot solution. Why modular, in order to fit to various car parking lot dispositions, for one Entrance and one Exit, and for many, as well. Each module, in fact, is sub-system. We recognized:

TRAFFIC sub-system, traffic barriers, traffic lights, inductive loops, LED displays, etc. ACCESS CONTROL sub-system, entrance-exit cabinets, barcode tickets, RFID cards, etc. AUTOMATION sub-system, which monitor and control all previous, our hardware & software BILLING sub-system, our own application, integrate all previous to solution which functioning

OUR GOAL

Once again, because of various Customer requests related to application (Car Parking Lot, BUS Station, Industry gate, garage,…) , different levels of complexity, performances and security he would like to achieve, and of course all with minimum funds, we practice, in close relation ship with our Customer to:

TRAFFIC SUB-SYSTEM (EQUIPMENT) Depending of parking lot (garage) dimensions, number of entrances/exits, intensity of use, for vehicles, or trucks, or for both we purpose adequate traffic barrier. And it is not easy for one to find barrier application we do not have adequate one in our offer.

IN GENERAL Since 1996th

ACCESS CONTROL (TIME AND ATTENDANCE) SUB-SYSTEM And again depending of car (truck) type and related to time, attendances and access control we do selection of devices for tickets issuing, billing and verification. We have experience with “paper” bar code tickets, RFID Cards, CODES, tokens, coins and rare, but we have with biometrics and APNR sub-systems.

AUTOMATION SUB-SYSTEM (OUR HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE, PLot-Server) It is mandatory, all motioned above, to be synchronized and functioning automatically and perfect certain level of automation has to be applied. So, we have developed our own software for brand name PLCs (www.fatek.com) and our application PL-Server, both provide good monitoring, control of complete solution (system). BILLING SUB-SYSTEM (OUR APPLICATION: PLot- Cashier) Our application is developed at VB, MS Access, and SQL platform. All necessary system software, we advise to be licensed by Investor, first of all because of the efficient maintenance. Our applications can run at WinXP ~ 10, MS Access 2003 ~ 2016 and “mdb”, or SQL platform. It has “language tool”, and can be localized from English to any local language. CONCEPT – WHAT AND HOW TO SELECT Since 1996th

At the very beginning it is important identification carrier to be selected in sense of efficiency, maintenance, financial limits and exploitation costs. The following is, we do have experience with. Let us to consider few most common solutions.

BARCODE CARDS, RFID CARDS, … (1) RFID CARD FOR ALL (ENTRANCE – EXIT)

For one time use, and For period (pre, or post paid) use

ADVANTAGES Easy to use, robust system, the possibilities to fraud system, almost there is no one. Exploration costs – low, and are related to “moving” RFID Cards from exit to entrance cabinet. Permanent maintenance costs exists and it is important card issuer and card acceptor to have good preventive maintenance. If not, we have experienced problems.

SHORTCOMINGS Driver at the entrances gets RFID Card, easy, but he dose not get “proof” what time he enter to garage and he is forced to “believe” to system. Not rare we have experienced arguing between User (driver) and Cashier. Additional, initial costs has to be expand for pre, or post paid RFID cards printing, encoding and issuing.





(2) “PAPER” BARCODE TICKETS & RFID CARDS “Paper” barcode tickets for one time use, and RFID cards for period (pre, or post paid) use

In general, and from our experience, this is probably the most efficient and economical solutions.

ADVANTAGES Easy to use, robust system, almost, there is no possibility to fraud system. User has “proof” when he entered to parking lot. He has information, for what time he has to exit, after he paid. At the fiscal (or non-fiscal) receipt he has time he done payment. There is no room for any arguing between User and Cashier.

SHORTCOMINGS In the sense of efficiency and functionality, we do note have experienced any problem. An exploration cost exit related to paper rolls and are low, in general, but depends of paper quality, pre-print, as well etc.

(3) “PAPER” BARCODE TICKETS & ID BARCODE CARDS “Paper” barcode tickets for one time use, and ID barcode cards for period (pre, or post paid) use

ADVANTAGES Easy to use, robust system, almost, there is no possibility to fraud system, related to one time use. User has “proof” when he entered to parking lot.

SHORTCOMINGS In the sense of efficiency and functionality, we do note have experienced any problem. An exploration cost exit related to paper rolls and are low, in general, but depends of paper quality, pre-print, as well etc. For ID barcode cards, if printed standard (visible bar code) there are possibilities for one to try to fraud system, not significant but exit. If ID barcode cards are UV Printer (invisible barcode) there is no way to fraud system, but printing costs exists.

(4) “PAPER” CODE TICKETS & ID CODE CARDS “Paper” CODE tickets for one time use, and ID CODE cards for period (pre, or post paid) use

In general, and from our experience, this is probably the most efficient and economical solutions for big markets, hybrid hotel’s parking lots, garages etc. This system one can meet in EU, not rear.

ADVANTAGES Initial costs are low. System is easy to use, robust most economical system, and almost, there is no need for maintenance. Even D/T paper roll of 60µm thickness can be used.

SHORTCOMINGS There are possibilities to fraud system. One can, at the very first glance, to remember CODE and to use it, if he is “faster” than one whom has paied for that. But if loss of few tickets is not too important, this is most robust and most economical system.

PRINTERS, KIOSK & POS We have experience with GeBe, CITIZEN, BIXOLON and EPSON printers for printing technology - direct thermal (D/T), and CITIZEN for printing technology – thermal transfer (T/T). For fiscal receipt printing we use local brand GALEB ( www.galeb.com ), and according to local low. Last few years, and because of financial capabilities of market at we are doing business, what means very week market, we have started TO USE CHINESE KIOSK PRINTERS WITH EPSON MECHANISMS, and we have experienced, significantly less costs, but not less quality and performances in comparing to previous. All models we use have CE Certificates, and some RoHO, Fcc and TUV, as well.


BILLING OPTIONS Since 1996th

BILLING & TICKET AUTHORIZATION FOR EXIT OPTIONS User need to pay barcode ticket before exit. Below there are few options, we have developed and have experience with, as well.

STANDARD CASHIER HOUSE System (Cashier) scans barcode ticket, take money, return change, if any and system automatically print receipt (fiscal, or non-fiscal) and authorize ticket for exit for certain period of time. If User is late to exit, has to go back to Cashier house and dose additional payment. If user loses barcode ticket, he has to pay for “penal” ticket. If Cashier house is remote, ENTRANCE and EXIT Parking Cabinets should be presented. If Cashier house is at EXIT, ENTRANCE Parking Cabinets should be presented. If Cashier house is at ENTRANCE and EXIT, no need for Parking Cabinets.




BILLING OPTIONS Since 1996th

MOBILE CASHIER HOUSE It has identical functionality as STANDARD CASHIER HOUSE, and it is developed for huge “open” parking lots, where from any reason Cashier has to do billing at open space. A shortcoming is fiscal receipt, not rare mandatory locally. All we have developed is at for Android mobile devices (WiFi) and mini receipt printers (WiFi, or Bluetooth) platform. We have experienced, as well, this solution as efficient for huge brand name markets, and shopping centers, where it is forbidden integration of any third party application to their software, but bulling for parking lot services is requested. Minimized solutions, and easy can find room to be placed at standard Cashier line.

SMS PAYMENT It is simple, easy to use and very, very efficient solution. User sends SMS (barcode number of his ticket) to phone specified at ticket. And he gets SMS “transaction successful, you have XXmin to exit” or, if from any reason “transaction is not successful, do payment at Cashier house”, he has to do that to exit.

PARKING LOT BILLING MACHINES Currently, available is automat for 4 bills and change (one coin). We do hard to extend with “credit card” option and for 5 bills and change (two coins). We guess all will be very soon.

PARKING LOT CABINETS MADE IN SERBIA, Since 2004th

All models we do are published at: http://www.aspektdoo.com/SRBProduction.html The region we are doing business (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania) is rather week market. So, we have decided, in order to reduce cost, same time our price for end user, as well, to develop our own parking lot columns and cabinets. Above is simple drawing defines dimensions and disposition of our standard parking cabinet, done according our experience and according to some “de facto” standards, we have understood from brand name companies doing business at this marketing niche. Idea we had from the very beginning was to develop two versions of parking lot cabinets:

FIRST ONE Standard version is, we believe; chipper than brands, but at the same level of quality and performance, as well. Even, we have tried ours to look like to “brands” in sense of design. Of course it was not easy, bat we believe we have done something good.

SECOND ONE Economic version is, we believe; much chipper than brands, but again, at the same level of quality and performance, same time anyone can note difference in design, which rather pure. In practice, we have experienced that many of our Customers do not take care about elegancy, very much. Prices, quality, functionality and performances are imperative.

BARCODE TICKET ( RFID CARD / CODE ) VERIFICATION MADE IN SERBIA, Since 2004th

We have put a lot of effort to develop barcode verification for exit parking lot cabinet. Experiencing and considering carefully competitor’s solutions, we have made two options. Both equipped with CMOS barcode scanner (1D, 2D, QR, PDF417):

FIRST ONE After User insert card, system scan barcode, if authorized, “swallow up” it, turn on green and open barrier. If not authorized return ticket back, and run automatic voice message (instruction), typically: “Your ticket i not authorized for exit, please go to Cashier house”. This bar code verification, even compeering design, dose not look less good than any brand name.

SECOND ONE User just places ticket at point (marked yellow at black bases), similar as some brands do, only our “packing” (housing) is not so elegant as brands are, but in sense of functionality, identical. Related to quality, might be better, housing is stillness steel, IP68, K10, heater, fun, thermostats.
