    Overview

    This tutorial covers how to use Batch Client to create and deploy Planning applications.

    Batch Client enables you to automate Planning administrative processes such as creating applications and loading

    metadata.

    Scenario

    You are the Planning administrator at your company and your team has asked you to create and deploy Planning

    applications for testing. You are pressed for time, so you use Batch Client to automatically create and deploy

    Planning applications in Performance Management Architect.

    Preparing to Use Batch Client

    To prepare to create applications, perform the following steps:

    Creating Applications

    To create applications, perform the following steps:

    Open a command prompt, and change the directory

    to C:\Hyperion\products\Foundation\BPMA\EPMABatchClient. This is the default directory for Batch Client.

    Management Architect, Fusion Edition 11.1.1, Batch Client User's Guide.

    2Enter the create application creation command and execute the application creation script. In this case, the script

    Check the EPMABatchClientResults log file to verify that the application was successfully created. The file is located

    Deploying Applications

    To deploy applications, perform the following steps:

    case, the script was validated and the application was successfully deployed.
