LUCY weeding machine is designed for machanical weed control in crops growing in rows, at a spacing to allow passage
of a tractor on a cultivated lane. The weeding machine is perfect for orchards of fruit trees. It can also be used to control
weeds in plantations of berry bushes. The machine is dedicated for organic crops. The use of the weeder allows to
reduce significantly or even eliminate the use of herbicides in the fruit production. The hydraulically adjustable width
allows for use in crops with different row widths. Depending on the plantation, the size of weeds or the hardness of the
soil, the device can be used with heads that are equipped with "claws" or "daggers". The weeder is mounted on the front
of the tractor on a special bracket or connected to the tractor by three point-linkage and it is powered by the tractor’s
hydraulics. The rotating working heads weed the strip of field between trees. Arriving at the trunk, they automatically
move away from it, and after "moving around" the obstacles return to the previous setting.
