BMW Mini: German luxury carmaker BMW will launch its MINI in India on January 5. It will import completely built-up units of MINI, MINI Convertible and MINI Countryman models, and sell them through an exclusive MINI dealer network.

A slew of top executives of global carmakers will attend the Delhi Auto Expo, the world's largest auto fair in terms of visitors. India, the world's sixth largest market, remains one of the most important growth markets for carmakers despite a slump in sales in recent months.

Leading the march of CXOs will be Ford Motor Company President & CEO Alan Mulally who will globally launch EcoSportSUV in Delhi.

Kay Segler, BMW's senior VP for MINI, will launch the world's favourite compact sports car in India.

Volkswagen board member Ulrich Hackenberg will unveil the German carmaker's new range for the Indian market at the expo.

The Auto Expo is not just about car, bikes and new launches. There is also the sixth series of Styling and Design, to be attended by top designers such as Felix Kilbertus, lead designer of French design house Pininfarnia, and Toshiyuki Nishino of Suzuki twowheelers.

The theme for the conclave this year is 'Future of Design-2020'. Some top designers and iconic products they are associated with:

Cyrus Mistry, who will replace RatanTata at the helm of the Tata Group in December next year, will enter the auto world at the Delhi expo. This will also be the last expo for Tata as Tata Motors chairman. Tata Motors, which owns iconic British marquee Jaguar and Land Rover, will launch three new products.
