Version tested on Mosaic: AutoCAD 2007Compatibility with Mosaic version:AutoCAD 2010 utilizes a new file format not supported by the 2007

version. There is an option to save as a 2007 drawing within the new version, and it has been tested to

After selecting activate, AutoCAD will run through the process of getting an activation code. It will

require you to create a new Autodesk account but is very straightforward.

After you have registered you are now ready to start using AutoCAD 2010.

    AutoCAD 2010 Features:

AutoCAD 2010 implements a new file format. The file type is still .dwg but it is not compatible withAutoCAD 2007 files. 2010 can read and write 2007 files, but 2007 cannot open 2010 files. There is

however, an option to save as an earlier version AutoCAD file.

There is a new ribbon interface you will find similar to Microsofts Office 2007. This is a change from themore traditional menu layouts in 2007.

Also new to 2010 is added support for Data linking with Microsoft Excel. Added Support for printing to a 3D printer.
