Hi, I’m Dan. I’ve had the privilege to grow up surrounded by the natural beauty of Northern Michigan and the kind, welcoming people who call this place home. I am a husband, a father, an explorer, a lover of the outdoors, and a storyteller. I enjoy a good meal with close friends and family or sitting around a bonfire in the middle of summer. It’s crazy to think for 13 years now I’ve been able to do what I love.

An engagement session is much more than a standard portrait shoot. It’s an opportunity for you to focus

on your best friend, and to capture this unique and short season of life- engagement. Hugs, kisses, and

intimacy can feel awkward or feigned in the presence of a stranger. An engagement session allows a

chance for you to meet me, the documentarian of this chapter, in order to establish a trusted relationship

before the wedding day flurry. I consider a personal — instead of a business-only — relationship vital to

capturing these moments, and I’ve found this first session to be a great step in that direction.

Prepare to laugh, smile, and reaffirm those feelings of love and loyalty that made you want to set that

special date. I truly enjoy getting to know you before your event, which helps me tailor my approach

to your comfort level. By the end of the session, I promise that you and your loved one will feel more

comfortable with me, and the quality of the moments captured will serve as unforgettable memories for

years to come.
