Workshop Details Delegates will be divided into four groups in the afternoon and rotate through the workshops. You’ll be advised of your group at registration. 1. Suturing Wetlab Learn the basics of suturing. The sutures for this workshop have been kindly donated by Ethicon. Demonstrators: Dr. Pramudith Sirimanna (Surgical Registrar), Dr. Prashanth Gunanayagam (Surgical Registrar), Terry Le and Nikki Springett 2. Plastering Learn about and practice common plastering techniques for hand fractures. Demonstrators: Dr. Bob Jang (Orthopaedic Registrar), Dr. Jerry Li (SRMO) 3. Plastic Emergencies An interactive session on the management of common plastic and burns surgical emergencies. Demonstrator: Dr. Saera Song (Surgical Registrar) 4. VAC Dressing Master the use of negative pressure dressings. This session has been made possible by KCI Medical. 5. CV and Research in Surgery How to maximize your CV and engage in research in surgery. Demonstrator: Dr. Pedro Campos (ED Registrar) 6. Registration on the Day Registration will open at 7:30AM. When you arrive at the Concord Repatriation General Hospital, please proceed to the Concord Medical Education Centre (see below for directions and map) to register. All delegates must register before the introductory address at 8:00 am. Dress Code Dress code for the conference is clinical/smart casual. Transport and Direction Public parking is available for a fee opposite the hospital. Rhodes train station is a 10 minute walk away. The conference will be held in the Medical Education Centre (MEC), located behind the ANZAC institute. It is labeled building 26 on the map below.
