GRASP K-8th GradeGRASP, Grand Rapids Academic Summer P rogram, is a correspondenceprogram in reading and math for grades K-8. The program seeks to help students retain skills learned during the past school year by providing review exercises. How does GRASP work? A student is enrolled in reading and/ormath in the grade level just completed. Children receive a packet of materialswith a booklet containing 9 lessons. It should take your child approximatelyone hour to complete each weekly lesson. They complete one lesson a weekor work at their own pace, as long as they submit lessons before August21st. They mail or return the lessons to the Community Learning Centerwhere they are scored and returned to the children with comments. We alsohave an online option for students 4th-8th grade. Children successfully completing at least 7 lessons with 70% accuracy are awarded a certificate. Thosecompleting all 9 lessons with 70% accuracy receive a medal. Introduction to French - Sue Grove 4th-8th Grade

This class is an introduction to the French language. Class will included learning numbers, alphabet, and simple phrases in French. Water Wise Kids - Todd Jorgenson For Students Entering Grade 4-6

You turn on the faucet at home and clean, fresh water comes out of the tap. But do you ever wonder where that water comes from and how that water is delivered to your home so you can enjoy a refreshing cold glass of water? Students in this class will spend part of their time in the classroom learning basics about how water is delivered to homes and how to help conserve water. Switched On Kids - Austin Utilities For Students Entering Grade 4-6You can't see, touch or smell electricity, but without it your life would be pretty dark. Students will start the day in the classroom learning basics about how electricity is delivered to homes. We'll also talk about conservation. Then we'll venture to our electric garage where students will have a chance to try out line worker clothing and equipment, experience electric bucket trucks up close,

STEAM Camp - Pacelli Catholic School $175 Ages 5-11 Head over to Pacelli for two weeks of enrichment and fun! Science, technology, art and math are strengthened during this week-long summer enrichment program for students K-5. Students learn new skills through hands-on projects, games, and experiments. On the final day of camp, parents are invited to attend a showcase where students display their artwork and accomplishments. The last day of class includes a field trip to Valleyfair. Registration is limited to the first 15 students in each age group: Pre-K-K, 1st-2nd, 3rd-5th grades.
