The Aurora Chamber of Commerce is a politically independent, membership-based, volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization. Our mission is to lead and serve the Aurora business community. Our goal is to build, drive and positively influence the economic landscape of Aurora.

On behalf of The Town of Aurora, I would like to thank the Aurora Chamber of Commerce for being a strong voice representing our business community. The Chamber has played an influential role in supporting, nurturing and guiding new and existing businesses in Aurora and helping them achieve success. The collaborative work between the Town and the Chamber continues, as we strive to create a supportive environment for businesses to flourish.
Aurora is a quaint town offering urban amenities, a diverse economy and well-educated and skilled workforce. Aurora’s employment growth rate was 3.4 per cent in 2016 and is outperforming our municipal neighbours in York Region, according to the York Region Employment Survey (YRES). The single, largest one-year job increase in Aurora for 2015-2016 was manufacturing, gaining over 300 jobs. Manufacturing remains Aurora’s largest single employment sector. We have seen our strongest growth in the business services sector and population-related industries. This means Aurora continues to prosper and has healthy growth opportunities now and in the future.
I recognize the needs of our business community and as a past President of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce and former business owner, I know the importance of ensuring that all businesses have a chance to express their opinions, network with others and succeed professionally.
The Aurora Chamber of Commerce is a valued partner in promoting, attracting and keeping our businesses prosperous.
