Then in the afternoon the whole school got to sit and watch a truly magi- cal performance called ’Aunty Emily and the Missing Melody’. We were all simply blown away by the amazing skills and talents of the Aunty Emily team. A big thank you to FOPS for funding this fantastic day and great thanks to Ben Sutcliffe for working things out so that Perranporth were able to be part of such a wonderful day. So far the feedback from parents has been very positive indeed. Aunty Emily

On Monday this week Perranporth School was very privileged to have three exceptionally talented performers

spend the day with us. During the morning, Mr Sutcliffe and his team worked with our Y5 and Y6 children teach-

ing skills in music, song and puppetry. Then in the afternoon the whole school got to sit and watch a truly magi-

cal performance called ’Aunty Emily and the Missing Melody’. We were all simply blown away by the amazing

skills and talents of the Aunty Emily team. A big thank you to FOPS for funding this fantastic day and great

thanks to Ben Sutcliffe for working things out so that Perranporth were able to be part of such a wonderful day.

Class Dojo

Over the past few weeks, Perranporth School has be trialling a new digital platform called Class Dojo. This

is a great way for teachers to share the different things that go on in the classroom each day with par-

ents. There are also message facilities and many other useful tools too. So far the feedback from parents

has been very positive indeed. So, if you haven’t logged on to Class Dojo yet, look out for an email that

Building Learning Power Workshop

Parents will remember that our school has been working very hard to develop positive learning strategies through

adopting Building Learning Power (BLP). The aim of BLP is to ensure that every child sees themselves as a lifelong

learner; we believe children should be empowered to see that learning takes place all of the time and should not

be confined to just the classroom and school. The aim and culture of BLP inspired schools allows children to train

and develop their learning muscles, enabling them to become…

- More curious;

- More ready, willing and able to learn with and through others;

- More willing to take a risk in their learning;

- More emotionally intelligent

- More creative;

- More thoughtful;

In order to help us develop our BLP skills we have chosen some children to be BLP Ambassadors. Our ambassadors,

along with Mr Harris would like to invite all parents to a BLP workshop on Wed 27th Sept 3.30pm in the hall. This will be

a great opportunity for parents to find out more about BLP, how it can help your child learn and of course to see our

ambassadors showcasing their BLP skills. Please come along, it’d be great to see you there!
