“Auntie” Anne and Jonas

Beiler opened their first

stand at a Downington,

Penn., farmer’s market.

This year, a quarter of a

century later, company

leaders turned to Ikoniq

to help with their latest

look.

A New Look

The non-ceramic

surfaces of the 22’ by 11’

cart are a mix of Corian

and real-wood laminate.

Sneeze guards over the

warming area (pictured)

and the baking area are

tempered safety glass.

The overall effect was

intended to be feature a

blend of their traditional

design components

updated to looking more

pleasing and modern.

The use of tile continues

as part of their signature

design.

The ceramic not only

provides an aesthetically

pleasing surround for

the cart as a whole, it

serves as an easily

maintained surface

where the beverages

are made and the

pretzels baked.

From the initial meeting

with Auntie Anne’s to the

delivery of the finished

product took about eight

weeks.

The span includes the

time where the pretzel-

maker ordered the POS

terminal, drink machines

and other hardware to

have delivered to Ikoniq.

Ikoniq handled the

entire, complex permit

process to ensure all

hardware, plumbing and

wiring were safe and up

to code.

break up the wall space.

Mall specifications limit

the height of the wall in

A laser-cut inlay allows

for the installation of a

nicely illuminated

Plexiglas Auntie Anne’s

sign.

The lighting is LED and

has a life expectancy of

about 100,000 hours—

more than 11 years of

continuous usage.

Ikoniq specializes in

modular builds. The

method saves time and

cost, and improves the

quality of the finished

product.

The Auntie Anne’s cart

was built in four sections

that were able to be

quickly rolled into place

in the Dallas-area mall.

Set-up occurred

overnight.

A stainless steel toe kick

masks any imperfections

in the level of the mall

floor.

Modular Build

Page 9: Auntie Anne's: Ikoniq's new cart reflects design twist for the famous pretzel-maker

Unique to Ikoniq designs

is a steel frame that

allows each section to

be up to 20’ long.

Because of the steel

frame, solid-surface

joints and tile grout lines,

even glass sneeze

guards remain perfect

even during shipping.

Power and water lines

are all that needs to be

connected between

sections on site.
