When creating our Aula multipurpose chair, the designers and engi neers took plastic as a material to a new aesthetic and func-tional level. Up to 16 of the easy-care fully plastic chairs can be stacked free-standing. Aula looks intriguingly seamless because the colours and surfaces of all the chair’s parts are the same. Its precise lines and the way the leg frame, armrests and seat shell fuse with the rest of the structure suggest an organic sculpture. The form, elasticity and ergonomic design of the seat shell pro-vide excellent support and comfort, even when people of all shapes and sizes sit on it for long periods of time. Six colours and four types of upholstery tap into a wide range of furnishing and design options for multipurpose facilities, canteens, seminar rooms, conference areas or co-working spaces.

FunctionLightweight, stackable, all-plastic multipurpose chair. Because of the shape, elasticity and ergonomic de-sign of the seat shell, Aula is very comfortable to sit on for long peri-ods of time. Six colours (two of which are on request) and four up-holstery options tap into a wide range of furnishing and design op-tions for multipurpose spaces, can-teens, seminar- and conference-centres or co-working spaces.
Frame/armrests All-plastic frame made of through-dyed, fibreglass-reinforced ultra-mid in white, black, grey, grey-beige, as well as orange-red and blue-grey on request, with multi-purpose glides, optionally with felt glides, optionally with or without armrests in the same material and colours.
Seat and backrestUnitary, ergonomically moulded seat shell with through-dyed, fibre-glass-reinforced polypropylene to match the frame and armrests in white, black, grey, grey-beige plus orange-red or blue-grey on re-quest.Model 238/11 with seat cushion-ing, model 238/12 with padding on the inside (=single-piece seat and backrest cushioning) each with re-placeable upholstery element made of plywood and breathable polyurethane foam. Model 238/13, fully upholstered, plywood shell with single-piece seat and backrest cushioning made of polyurethane foam, shell fully covered in fabric.
AccessoriesPermanent inline connector made of bent steel, black zinc-plated only to link chairs without armrests (ret-rofittable). Adjustable, pull-out in-line connector made of bent steel, black zinc-plated with clip made of fibreglass-reinforced polyamide in
anthracite for variable linkage of chairs with armrests and chairs with and without armrests (retrofitta-ble). Magnetic clip for seat and row numbering made of plastic in an-thracite, can be slotted onto the frame on the right or the left. Num-ber tags with white numbers on anthracite sheet steel. Fold-up writ-ing tablet, pad made of HPL in black, connector made of black plastic (retrofittable). Only for chairs with armrests, stacking capabilities are retained.

StandardsBased on the DIN EN 16139 office chair standard, up to 10 chairs can be stacked vertically. Tests are be-ing conducted to obtain the ANSI Bifma standard and GS mark.

Row widths and distances differ depending on whether Aula is used with or without arm-rests. Adjustable inline connectors allow linkage of both chairs with armrests and chairs alternately with and without armrests. Non-adjustable inline connectors are available when only chairs without armrests are used.
197 Writing tablet If required, the black fold-up writing tablet can be attached to the armrest and detached again just as quickly.
To number seats and rows, a practical magne-tic clip with space to insert the numbers is slot-ted onto the frame. The fold-up writing tablet can be attached to and locked into place on the armrest in no time without compromising the chair’s stacking capabilities.
