A lovely evening was had at the August Last Wednesday Club, kindly hosted by ANZ Bank,
thank you to Tania and her team. Next month's Last Wednesday Club is the Pop UP
Business Expo, see below for further details.
Now's the time to book your space as one of the four hosts of the Christmas Last
Wednesday Club which is held in November on the 29th, these details are included below.

It is great to see Spring is on its way and the days are warming up.
The Board recently presented a submission to the Waiamakariri District Council District
Development Strategy. We were positively received with our submission based around the
further development of the Rangiora CBD, as well as the continuing expansion of the
Southbrook area. We have a strong membership in both areas and our focus is to continue
the promotion of both locations. The Councillors also took the opportunity to discuss other
items including car parking, and the expansion of the business zones to accommodate the
districts future growth.

Last Wednesday Club - Pop Up Business Expo

This September the Last Wednesday Club is transforming into a Pop Up Business Expo. The Expo is catering to our small businesses and sole traders, and all of our spaces are now fully booked! So come along and hear from our fantastic exhibitors (listed below) - this event is open for all local business people to attend via RSVP only. Spread the word to your business friends and colleagues and send your RSVP to Chelsea.

Wednesday 30 August. We had another
fantastic turnout, and look forward to
seeing you all back at our Pop Up Expo

Tania filled us in on the Daffodil Day morning tea they hosted earlier this month, where
they raised money for the Cancer Society. She also let us know that ANZ is here to
support the Rangiora business community, and her team are available to have a chat with
you.

Message from Waimakariri District Council
A number of speed limit changes have been put in place
in Rangiora and Mandeville following recent community
feedback on various speed limit reviews.
The Council asked residents whether speed limits should be lowered on Rangiora’s
Kippenberger Avenue, Northbrook Road, Rangiora-Woodend Road, Lehmans Road and
River Road. Responses from submitters were overwhelmingly supportive of the proposed
changes, with between 76 and 82% in favour of the speed limit reductions. New speed limit
signage is now in place. Click here to read more.
