Leader: Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!

Call To Repentance & Renewal
~ Jeremiah 17:9 ~
Leader: The Lord has spoken through the prophet Jeremiah saying, “The heart is deceitful above all things and despera-tely sick; who can understand it? I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind.”
Prayer Of Confession Leader: Gracious God, our sins are too heavy to carry, too real to hide, and to deep to undo.
~ Silent Confession & Reflection ~
Leader: Forgive what our lips tremble to name, what our hearts can no longer bear, and what has become for us a consuming fire of judgment.
~ Silent Confession & Reflection ~
Leader: Set us free from a past we cannot change; open to us a future in which we can be changed.
~ Silent Confession & Reflection ~
Leader: And grant us to grow more and more in Your likeness and image, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Words Of The Gospel ~ based on 1 John 1:8-2:1 ~
Leader: While it is true that we have sinned, it is a greater truth that God offers forgiveness to all who turn to the Lord Jesus Christ, seeking His grace and pardon. He is the Righteous One—our Advocate—who speaks in our defence. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and for the sins of the world.
To all who humbly seek the mercy of God, I say to you that in Christ Jesus your sins are forgiven!

The splendour of the King Clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice Let all the earth rejoice
He wraps himself in Light And darkness tries to hide And trembles at His voice And trembles at His voice

How great is our God, and all will see How great, how great is our God

And time is in His hands Beginning and the end Beginning and the end

Presentation Of Our Tithes & Offerings
Song Of Preparation
“Thou Lovely Source Of True Delight”
Thou lovely source of true delight Whom I unseen adore
Unveil Thy beauties to my sight That I might love Thee more
Oh that I might love Thee more
Thy glory o'er creation shines Yet in Thy sacred word
I read, in fairer, brighter lines My bleeding, dying Lord
See my bleeding, dying Lord
'Tis here, whene'er my comforts droop And sin and sorrows rise
Thy love with cheering beams of hope My fainting heart supplies
My fainting heart's supplied
But ah! Too soon the pleasing scene Is clouded over with pain
My gloomy fears rise dark between And I again complain
Oh, and I again complain
Jesus, my Lord, my life, my light, Oh come with blissful ray
Break radiant through the shades of night And chase my fears away
Won't you chase my fears away
Then shall my soul with rapture trace The wonders of Thy love
But the full glories of Thy face Are only known above
They are only known above

Songs For Communion
“I Will Rise”
There's a peace I've come to know Though my heart and flesh may fail
There's an anchor for my soul I can say "It is well"
Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed The victory is won
He is risen from the dead
chorus And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees And rise, I will rise
There's a day that's drawing near
When this darkness breaks to light And the shadows disappear
And my faith shall be my eyes
Jesus has overcome And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won He is risen from the dead
And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
"Worthy is the Lamb" And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
"Worthy is the Lamb" (repeat)
“Name Above All Names”
From the brightness of His glory Jesus, the Son of God descends Takes on the nature of a servant
Jesus, obedient to death The Father willed to crush Him
As a sacrifice for sin He satisfied God’s justice And in vict’ry rose again
chorus You are highly exalted Name above all names
Worthy of all praise You are reigning in glory
Jesus, You’re the King over everything

Our Confession Of Faith
~ based on Romans 8:1, 29, 38-39 ~
Leader: Let us together profess our faith by saying…
Unison: We believe there is no condem-nation for those who are in Christ Jesus; for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to God’s purpose.
We are convinced that neither life, nor death, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
The Benediction
~ 2 Thessalonians 3:16 ~
Leader: “Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with you all.”
Unison: Amen!

Summer Preaching Series: Relationships. They are the stuff of life. With them we can prosper. Without them, we flounder. But the big question is, How do we navigate relationships in our modern world where there seems to be so much confusion about relationships? Join us this summer as we take a look at relationships through the lens of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We'll answer questions like… • What are relationships for? • Why do relationships get wrecked? • Is marriage really a smart choice in our modern world? • How are we to understand our sexuality? • Is there any hope for my sense of relational brokenness? • How do I view my singleness? • Isn't divorce the easy way out? • Is there a wise way to think about family?
To all who are spiritually weary and seek rest, to all who mourn and long for comfort, to all who struggle and desire victory,
to all who sin and need a Saviour, to all who are strangers and want fellowship,
to all who are broken and long for healing, to all who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
and to whosoever would come, New City Church opens wide her doors
and offers welcome in the Name of Jesus Christ.
