2015 Chamber of Commerce

Executive Board

Greetings fellow Savage Chamber members! I can’t believe we’re into August already. Unbelievable – where does the time go?! The Chamber staff and your board of directors wish to thank all of its members for their contributions to our organization and business community by hosting our annual Member Appreciation BBQ at the Savage Community Park Environmental Learning Center on Tuesday, August 11th. Come network and enjoy a free lunch on us! This is always a well attended event, and you can be assured the food will be great because our board will NOT be working the grills this year. Though we’re just entering August, planning is well underway for two great opportunities to get involved that will take place in September. Our 2nd Annual Doggie Palooza will take place on Saturday, September 12th at Community “Bark” Park from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Last year’s inaugural event was a great success despite the weather being a bit “ruff”, so we’ve moved it up a month this year. There is still an opportunity to join the committee or be a sponsor of the event with a booth. The annual Fall Community Fest will be held on Monday, September 21st at the Prior Lake High School from 6:00-8:30pm. The Fall Community Fest is a wonderful opportunity for you to promote your product(s) and/or service(s) to our communities. The event is open to the public at no cost and has consistently attracted 3,500+ attendees, so you won’t find a better opportunity to market your business. Further details regarding both of these events can be found elsewhere in this newsletter. Enjoy these remaining summer months, and I look forward to seeing you at our Member Appreciation BBQ. Remember, let’s all do our part by conducting business with our fellow Chamber members first!
