The guests will share their valuable experience in developing their organization. The afternoon session contains 2 courses, Organizing for the Computer Crime Act B.E 2550, a general knowledge about the Act and organizing solutions for the Act B.E 2550. Dear customers, Health Care in this issue have some information about an obesity, a growing public health problem. Basically, obesity is when the proteins or carbohydrate stored in the fatty tissue exceeds healthy limits. The causes are vary;

1. Eating food regularly containing high energy will cause obesity.�. Certain medications, such as birth-control pill, depression disorder prescription may cause weight gain. 3. Genetic. All family members may suffer the obesity. But it is probably the result of a combination of genetic and environment factors. 4. Dietary cultures. People in some countries consume calorie-rich foods.5. Life Style. Conveniences in your living, facilities and lack of exercise, car, labour-saving devices, TV programs and commercials ad. for soft drink and soda, are another cause of the obesity.

What do we mean by obesity?

Normally the fat in body will be stored to keep us warm. However, when those fats exceeds limit, we called it obesity. Women with between 25-30% and men with 18-23 % body fat are normal. Men with more than 25% body fat and women with more than 30% body fat are obese. Obesity means your body fat exceed limit, not only heavy weight.

Obesities are categorized into 3 types,

1. Overall obesity means the whole body fat exceed normal rate and not constricted at specific area of the body. �. Abdominal obesity means the fat stored in the abdomen exceed the normal rate, some have fat stored under the skin. 3. Abdominal and overall obesity means the body fat and the fat stored in the abdomen exceed normal rate Don’t let yourself become a victim of obesity. Stay fit and work-out can keep you away from it!

1. สวนอวกาศ ประกอบดวยเครอขายดาวเทยม 3 คาย คอ

• อเมรกา ชอ NAVSTAR (Navigation Satellite Timing and Ranging GPS) มดาวเทยม 28 ดวง ใชงานจรง 24 ดวง อก 4 ดวงเปนตวสำรอง บรหารงานโดย Department of Defenses มรศมวงโคจรจากพนโลก 20,162.81 กม.หรอ 12,600 ไมล ดาวเทยมแตละดวงใช เวลาในการโคจรรอบโลก 12 ชวโมง

• ยโรป ชอ Galileo ม 27 ดวง บรหารงานโดย ESA หรอ European Satellite Agency จะพรอมใชงานในป 2008

ทกวนนบางทานมกจะเขาใจผดวา GPS เปน GPRS ซง GPRS ยอมาจากคำวา General Packet Radio Service เปนระบบสอสารแบบไรสายสำหรบโทรศพทมอถอ หรอ PDA หรอ notebook เพอเชอมตอกบ internet

2. GPS ทำงานอยางไร?

GPS ทำงานโดยการรบสญญานจากดาวเทยมอยางนอย 4 ดวง โดยอาศยขอมลทสงตรงมาจากดาวเทยมแตละดวง ในการ กำหนดตำแหนง หากมจำนวนดาวเทยม 3 ดวงจะสามารถ คำนวณหาตำแหนงแบบ 2D ได (Latitude, Longitude) แต หากมดาวเทยมจำนวน 4 ดวงขนไป กจะสามารถหาตำแหนง แบบ 3D ได (Latitude, Longitude and Altitude) โดยสญญาณ ดาวเทยมนประกอบไปดวยขอมลทระบตำแหนงและเวลาขณะ สงสญญาณ ตวเครองรบสญญาณ GPS จะตองประมวลผล ความแตกตางของเวลาในการรบสญญาณเทยบกบเวลาจรง ณ ปจจบนเพอแปรเปนระยะทางระหวางเครองรบสญญานกบดาว เทยมแตละดวง ซงไดระบมตำแหนงของมนมากบสญญานดงกลาวขางตน

GPS สงสญญาณอยางไร

สญญาณทถกสงออกจากดาวเทยมนนจะเปน Low Power Radio Signals 2 สญญาณ L1 และ L2 โดยประชาชนทวไป

1. GPS คออะไร?

GPS คอ ระบบระบตำแหนงบนพนโลก ยอมาจากคำวา Global Positioning System หรอแปลเปนไทยไดวาเครอง

รบสญญาณบอกตำแหนงจากดาวเทยม สามารถบอกตำแหนงไดทกแหงบนโลกไมวาเราจะอยสวนไหนกตาม (ยก

เวนขวโลกเหนอและใต) โดยเครอง GPS จะทำการคำนวณพกดจากดาวเทยมทโคจรอยรอบๆ โลกเปนพกดเสนรง

(Latitude), เสนแวง (Longitude) บางรนทเปนเครองรนใหมสามารถทำแผนท ได (Mapping) เครอง GPS จะ

แสดงผลเปนพกด ตามแตทผ ใชจะกำหนดวาจะใช Datum แบบไหนซงระบบ GPS ประกอบไปดวย 3 สวนหลก คอ

จะสามารถใชสญญาณ L1 ทความถ 1575.42 MHz แบบ UHF สญญาณจะสามารถวงผานพนททมองเหนไดดเชน ผานเมฆ แกว หรอ พลาสตก แตจะไมสามารถผานวตถทบ เชน ตกหรอสงกอสรางตางๆ ไดเลย ดงนนหากอยในสถานททไมสามาถมองเหนทองฟาไดด การรบสญญาณกจะเปนไปไดยากหรอไมไดเลย

สญญาณ GPS ทถกสงออกมาจากดาวเทยมจะประกอบดวย ขอมล 3 สวนไดแก

• สวนท 1 Pseudorandom code จะเปนขอมลทแสดงวา สญญาณถกสงมาจากดาวเทยมดวงไหน

• สวนท 2 Ephemeris data จะเปนขอมลทบอกถงตำแหนง และการเคลอนทของดาวเทยมดวงอนๆ

• สวนท 3 Almanac data จะเปนขอมลสำคญทแสดงถง สถานะของดาวเทยมดวงทสงขอมลวามสถานะเปนเชนไร เชน เวลาปจจบน ซงเปนสวนสำคญในการนำไปคำนวณหาตำแหนง อปกรณ GPS

การรบสญญาณ GPS อาจมปญหาได

หากมปจจยตางๆ ดงตอไปนเกดขน

• การลาชาของสญญาณ ขณะเคลอนตวผานชนบรรยากาศ (Ionosphere and Troposphere Delays)

• การสะทอนของสญญาณ ทำใหเสนทางสญญาณผดเพยน (Signal Multipath) เกดไดเมอสญญาณมการสะทอนกบสงกอ สรางหรอวตถใหญๆ ทำใหเกดความลาชาของสญญาณกอนถง อปกรณ GPS

• เวลาบนอปกรณรบสญญาณไมตรงกนกบเวลาของดาวเทยม (Receiver Clock Errors) ทำใหการคำนวณเกดความผดพลาดได

• การแสดงขอมลของการโคจรดาวเทยมดวงอนผดพลาด (Orbital Errors)

• จำนวนของดาวเทยมทรบสญญาณได (Number of satellites visible) ยงมจำนวนดาวเทยมรบสญญาณมากกยงมความแมน ยำมากขน

• ตำแหนงของดาวเทยมทรบสญญาณได (Satellite geom-etry/shading) ตำแหนงของดาวเทยมทรบสญญาณแตละดวงมสวนในการคำนวณ หากดาวเทยมมตำแหนงททำองศาระหวางกนไมดพอ กอาจทำใหการคำนวณเกดคลาดเคลอนไดมาก

3. GPS ใชงานอยางไร?

ผทใชระบบ GPS จะตองมเครองรบสญญาณ หนวยประมวลผล โปรแกรม หรอขอมลแผนทขนอยกบวตถประสงคการใชงานใน รปแบบตาง ๆ การรบสญญานจากดาวเทยมไมตองเสยคาใช จาย สวนการใชงานในรปแบบทใชประกอบกบแผนทจะมคา ใชจายในเรองของแผนทแตกตางกนไปขนอยกบบรษททจดทำ

1. What is GPS?

The Global Positioning System (GPS) is the Navigation Satellite

System, which helps determine locations wherever we are in

the world. (except the North or South Pole.) The GPS calculates

our positions by Utilizing a constellation of Earth Orbit satellites

to identify the Latitude and Longtitude we are in. Recently

launched GPS even do mapping. The GPS device identifies its

user’s position, depending on the Datum they are using. The cur-

rent GPS consists of three major segments which are;

1. Space segment - consist of 3 owners, USA, Russia and Europe

• USA - The USA’ NAVSTAR (Navigation Satellite Timing and Rang-

ing GPS) consists of 28 satellites, 24 of which are operational

satellite and another 4 for back-up. The satellites are operated

by the Department of Defenses, Orbiting at an altitude of ap-

proximately 20,162.81 kilometers (12600 miles). Each of them can

circle the earth every 12 hours.

• Europe - The European Galileo has been developed by the Eu-

ropean Satellite Agency. It consists of 27 satellite and tentatively

is scheduled to be up and running by �008.

• Russia-The Russian GLONASS (Global Navigation Satellite) is op-

erated by the Russia Military Space Force (VKS)

The GPS was originally intended for military applications, but in

the 1980s, the government made the system available for civil-

ian use..

Now civilian can have an access from NAVSTAR for free, because

of freedom of information access policy of the government, The

US allows a civilian to have an access to the information in the

level that will not interfere the security of the nation, which is

expected to give an accuracy of about 10 metres.

�. Control segment - consists of The master control station, locat-

ed at Falcon Air Force Base in USA and another 5 monitor stations

to distribute information to every part of the world.

3. User segment- A user needs a GPS receiver for tuning to the

frequencies transmitted by the satellites, and display information

to customers.

Many people confuse between the GPS and GPRS. The GPRS is

a General Packet Radio Service, which is a wireless communica-

tion used in mobile phone, PDA or a notebook to connect to

the Internet.

2. How does GPS work?

The GPS requires at least 4 satellites for processing data transmit-

ted directly from each satellite. A GPS receiver must be locked on

to the signal of at least three satellites to calculate a �D position

(latitude and longitude) and track movement. With four or more

satellites in view, the receiver can determine the user’s 3D posi-

tion (latitude, longitude and altitude). An information sent from

the satellite must contain \ position and sending time. Essentially,

the GPS receiver compares the time a signal was transmitted by

a satellite with the time it was received. The time difference tells

the GPS receiver how far away the satellite is.

How can the GPS transmit signal?

GPS satellites transmit two low power radio signals, designated

L1 and L2. Civilian GPS uses the L1 frequency of 1575.42 MHz

in the UHF band. The signals travel by line of sight (the signal

passes through clouds, glass, plastic and other lightweight mate-

rials but doesn’t go through enclosed spaces, such as buildings.

This means, if you are in the place where you can’t see the sky,

a GPS operating is almost impossible.

A GPS signal contains three different bits of information

• The pseudorandom code identifies which satellite is transmit-

ting information.

• Ephemeris data tells the GPS receiver where the GPS satellite

and other satellite in the system should be.

• Almanac data, contains important information about the status

of the satellite, current date and time. This part of the signal is

essential for determining a position.

Sources of GPS signal errors

• Ionosphere and troposphere delays - The satellite signal slows as

it passes through the atmosphere.

• Signal multipath - This occurs when the GPS signal is reflected

off large objects such as tall buildings or large rock surfaces be-

fore it reaches the receiver. This increases the travel time of the

signal.

• Receiver clock errors - A receiver’s clock is not as accurate

as the clocks at the GPS satellites. Therefore, it may have very

slight timing errors.

• Orbital errors - these are inaccuracies of the satellite’s reported

location.

• Number of satellites visible - The more satellites a GPS receiver

can get the better the accuracy.

• Satellite geometry/shading - This refers to the relative position

of the satellites at any given time. The satellites are possibly lo-

cated at wide angles relative to each other, causing error in

calculating.

3. How can we use GPS?

A GPS users will need a receiver, a processing unit, a program or

a map depending on the purpose of their usages. Data receiving

from the satellites is free of charge but when you use it on the

unit’s electronic map, the costs vary, depending on the operator.

ตวอยางการทำงานของ Proxy

1. Client รองขอขอมลจาก Proxy Server

2. Proxy Server ตรวจสอบขอมลทจะ download วา ขอมล ใน disk กบขอมลท Server ปลายทางอนไหน ใหมทสด หากขอมลทปลายทางใหมกวากจะ download มาเกบไวใน disk กอน จากนนจงสงกลบไปให client

3. Client นำขอมลทไดไปแสดงผล หรอ นำไปใชงาน

Proxy server คออะไรWhat’s proxy server?

Proxy server is a large size cache that helps the brows-er connected to the Internet network work faster. The browser stores data and websites that have been visited and keep refreshing the information. When a new us-ers visit those website, the data store in the Proxy Server will be downloaded. No need to get the data from the websites.

Benefits :Reduce data traffic

Disadvantages :An information that needs an instant update, such as comments from web board are not up-dated at its real time, as a users downloads the informa-tion stored in the proxy, not the website.

Example of how the Proxy work.

1. A client requests data from Proxy Server

�. The Proxy Server investigates the information to find the newest data stored in disks and the terminal server. If those from the terminal server are newer, then the proxy will download them to the disk before sending the data to the custmers.

3. Client got the information displayed and use the infor-mation received.
