Paul and Louise Leslie married August 19, 1953, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dr. J. W. Storer,

Pastor of First Baptist Church Tulsa officiated. After marrying, they lived in Stillwater,

Oklahoma while Paul attended Oklahoma A & M University (now Oklahoma State

University). After working thirty years with the federal government, they retired and

moved to Lake Fork in East Texas. Paul and Louise have one child, three grandchildren,

and three great grandchildren.

Danny and Mary Lou Durham

were married in Waco, Texas, on

August 3, 1963 by Dr. Joe Weldon

Bailey. Mary Lou and Danny lived

about three years in Garland, Texas, but

have lived in Sulphur Springs most of

their lives. Both were active educators in

Sulphur Springs. Danny served as

Assistant Superintendent and Mary Lou

served as the High School guidance

counselor.

The Durhams have two children:

Dana Cleaver of Sulphur Springs and

Dr. John Durham, and his wife, Sandy, of

Paris, Texas. They have one grandchild, Jessie Durham, also of Paris, Texas.

Don and Carol Overstreet were married on

August 16, 1963, at the home of the bride’s parents in

Winnsboro, Texas.

They have been

blessed with three

daughters, Vicki and

Tony Bassham,

Tracie and Chuck

Sickles, and Christi

and William

Mayeux, all of

Sulphur Springs.

They have six grandchildren, Ashley Melton,

Jordan Bassham, Miranda Bassham, Mariah

Indermuehle, Meagan Sickles and Haden Sickles. They also have three great grandchildren, Emily and Eli

Melton and Paisley Bassham. Don and Carol plan to celebrate their anniversary with a trip to Las Vegas.

Glenda Butler Shanks and Richard Shanks met in 1962 while

Richard was serving as minister of music and youth at Calvary Baptist

Church in Sulphur Springs. They were married on July 27, 1963.

While living and teaching in Eunice, New Mexico, they had two

children: Stephanie Jalane in 1968, who is now an elementary music

teacher in Gilmer, Texas, and Jonathan Bruce in 1970, who is now a

paramedic with the Houston Fire Department. The Shanks have three

grandchildren - Rebecca who is 18, Lucas who is 16, and Jacob who is
