Just so you know... All the efforts to keep our Facebook interesting and engaging are paying off. Ann's flashback photo to the 2003 conference reached 371 Facebook users and was our top grossing post in July. We share photos, post information about our club and meetings, and tell people what Rotary is all about with info on polio, water projects and more. It's a great way to keep in touch with members and the community! Have you liked us on Facebook? Have you recommended that your friend's like us on Facebook? August is Membership Month so boast about being a Rotarian. You can use the attached JPG as a cover photo to show your pride on social media!

From President Ann... Like Sean, I am seeing my term move along quickly

with month 2 ahead of me. To start I would like to thank Sean for his support as I have tended to my husband and

preps for his full knee replacement. As of this writing he has had the

surgery and is in his first Physical Therapy Session at the hospital, so my message will be short. Be reminded that your Tuesday evening regulars have voted to go to an every other meeting for the summer – so be sure to check the schedule before

heading out on a Tuesday. Last week we welcomed 2 new members as transfers

from the Eastwood Club – Ray O’Neil and PJ (Paul) Scott – we are happy to have them in the club and look

forward to their involvement in our many activities. The board also has voted on new member Marcia Benson – who will be inducted in early August. Marcia is Sally

Fedrizzi’s Mom and we look forward to her joining us as well! We have had interest from several other

community members and will be working to invite them to meetings and see how they might fit into our club! It is a signal to me that we are doing something right in the

community – keep up the good work! I look forward to the rest of our journey this year!

Have ideas for speakers? It is every member's responsibility to help fill the meeting schedule with programs.

Speakers can join us at lunch for free if they come at 12:15 or if they don't want to eat, they can come at 12:45. They get 20 minutes plus some Q&A time with the meeting ending at 1:30pm. The club needs advance notice if a program involves 3 or more people coming for lunch! Alan Lindsey manages the schedule and can help you with availability for your program ideas. You can contact him at [email protected]. We have plenty of openings this

summer that we need to fill!
