HOOT SPEAK

The previous month began with an exodus during the

tutorial break which as usual got over in a jiffy and the owlets

returned into the quagmire of the Ex GIRISANGRAM. While

the owlets in OGs meandered their way through the

rhododendron forests towards their ever elusive objectives,

the owlets in Sky Blues, who were initially Sand Model shy

when the course had commenced, were seen confidently

routing the sand model armed with pointers staff a rare treat.

The owlets toiled the 14 hours long working days for nearly

two weeks, ably supported by the better halves managing the

daily chores and the kids who remain absolutely indifferent to

the situation. The OG owlets may not have reached their Ex

GIRISANGRAM terminal objectives but their next destination

in real life was nearly crystalised during their interaction with

the visiting Col MS.

The month also saw a series of guest lectures by

eminent personalities and the long awaited Student driven

Joint Seminars have also kick started with an enthusiastic

bang, marking a transition from tactical to strategic and

intellectual levels.

The SPA front saw a characteristic enthusiasm in Hunt

and the CNS Golf Cup which emerged as a tight contest. Navy

Cup without water would have made no sense, hence, the rain

Gods poured cats & dogs during the preceding night. The

undeterred organisers still pulled it through with aplomb. The

Ladies Meet was steered by the ladies of the C Division this

month and unfolded a colourful extravaganza.

While all this was on, the winters have quietly slipped

in forcing us to dig deeper into our closets and boxes looking

for the woolens and the quilts to replace the blankets. We

sincerely hope that the soaring vegetable prices see a

correction so that the Gajar Halwa can be relished with

impunity.

Wishing all the readers Happy Reading and Happy

Contributing.
