Audience Questionnaire Analysis

The majority of my respondents for the questionnaire were from female and therefore the results may be slightly bias; however this may also show how females are more likely to read the music magazine and therefore should be aimed more at them.

The majority of my questionnaire was done by the 17-25 year old category suggesting that these are the most likely to read the magazine and should focus the stories and articles for people of these ages.

The maximum price most people would pay is £2.50-£3 but the median price is the £1.50-£2 range and therefore that is the price most people would be willing to pay. This will be around the price I would market a magazine at after looking at these results.

The main item that is disliked in a magazine is the adverts and therefore in my mock up I will not include many (or any) in order to please the audience because it is not what they want to see. The least disliked item is too many pictures so I will include a couple of pictures so it cuts up the writing and therefore it would look more aesthetically pleasing.

The main attraction on a front cover is headlines with a model or music star on the front cover. This means that my front cover will include a picture of my model which many headlines on the front in order to draw the attention of the audience members. People don’t want to see bright colours on the front of a magazine and should be calm colours in order to not be too overwhelming.

The main type of music people tend to listen to from this questionnaire respondents is pop and rock – this means that I will try and make my magazine be a rock and pop genre because it is in the majorities interest.

The main colours people want to see are black and white and black and red – so I might make my colour scheme a black, white and red to go with how the majority want it to look.

The main things people want to see are interviews and new music artists – this means that in my magazine I will try and include an interview with a new music artist. On the contents page I will include some gossip and articles on reviews. On the front cover I will add some event titles in order to inform the audience.

The main things people like to see on a double page spread is interviews or an exclusive story and photos. This means that on my double page spread I will try and include an interview with a new artist with a photo.

The main items people want to see on a contents page is photos and headlines and therefore I will produce a contents page with both of these things on it in order to please the audience.
