DEMOGRAPHIC

• In many indie magazines the demographic of indie music magazines are people who are quite working class (C2 on the demographic scale or lower). This is because, it is the generally excepted demographic for university students as they generally enjoy the freedom indie music offers.

PSYCHOGRAPHICS

• The physcographics of indie magazines are clearly explorers. This is because the indie target audience generally likes to have their own ideas and or beliefs. This is shown by the use of the colour red in most indie magazines, which gives of a rebellious attitude to mainstream ideas and beliefs as red could connote danger and/ or rebellion.
