The North West

• The North West of Caracas has a long history. This was one of the regions where Columbus first landed. Coro and Maracaibo, the 2nd most populous cities, served as ports for trading with the Netherlands Antilles. Venezuela's most treasured seashores, Parque Nacional Morrocoy is located along the coast line. The park is very well known for its’ excellent beaches and numerous fine reefs for snorkeling and diving.
