UNDERSTANDING THE CUSTOMER:The ATM company was established in 1997 as a marketer of industrial instrumentation.

Their product range includes thermocouples and power supplies, programmable logic

controllers, spark protection barriers, software for automation of engineering systems,

residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. They have integrated engineering

systems in Russia, Ukraine and Latvia, providing automated systems for commercial and

technical management of energy (AMR), low-voltage systems, equipment supply, and

other industrial automation.

Possessing the largest holdings in the northwest and central districts of Russia, ATM has

partnerships and collaborates with some of the leading names in industrial automation:

Beckoff, Omron, WAGO, Siemens, Aries and others.

In 2011, ATM was awarded a state contract for the development of the Republic of Karelia

and the introduction of a “modern integrated information system of continuous online

monitoring facilities housing RK – CEN housing” (source: http://atm.onego.ru/about/

istoriya). The contract was awarded by the State Committee of the Republic of

Kazakhstan on Housing and Energy.

In 2012, ATM was named the “Best Entrepreneur of the Republic of Karelia in 2012”.

THE CONSTRAINTSAs the company grew and got involved in controlling a wider variety of industrial processes, it became necessary to have additional solutions to adapt to the needs of an ever-changing market. As the expectations of consumers evolved, so too did the needs of ATM.

needs and expectations. ATM needed a modern

automation and monitoring system for an urban

wastewater treatment plant in Karelia. They

needed a reliable system that would best meet

the needs of the modern market.
