The proposed improvements will improve safety and mobility for pedestrians, bicyclists, and vehicles. Atlantic Avenue is currently four lanes from Highwoods Boulevard to New Hope Church Road with a posted speed of 35 miles per hour (mph). Commercial land use occurs mainly along the west side of the roadway while the east side is primarily residential. Proposed improvements include a median, sidewalks along the east side of the street, a multiuse path along the west side, street lights, and landscaping. Public Involvement: Public Involvement: Public Involvement: Public Involvement: Public involvement is an important part of the project development process, and we want your comments on the proposed improvements. Please provide comments by November 1, at https:// publicinput.com/4144 or fill out the paper copy of the comment form and leave it with a City representative. All comments will be considered by the project team during the design phase of the project.
