Gospel Luke 5:1-11Homily Monsignor Thomas M. Ginty Rector of the Cathedral Profession of FaithI believe in one God,the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth,of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God,born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God,begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from
heaven, (all bow) and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.

I thank you, LORD, with all my heart; you have heard the words of my mouth. In the presence of the angels I praise you. I bow down toward your holy temple.
I give thanks to your name for your merciful love and your faithfulness. You have exalted your name over all.On the day I called, you answered me; you increased the strength of my soul.
All earth’s kings shall thank you, O LORD, when they hear the words of your mouth. They shall sing of the ways of the LORD, “How great is the glory of the LORD!”
With your right hand you save me; the LORD will accomplish this for
me.O LORD, your merciful love is eternal; discard not the work of your hands.

Blessing and DismissalPrayer to St. Michael
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wicked-ness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan, and all
the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
