A big ‘THANK
YOU’ to the
113 schools that
gave €27,096
That’s a GRAND TOTAL OF €42,125
A BIG thank you to all the
wonderful PUPILS, TEACHERS,
PARISHIONERS & FAMILY
MASS GROUPS that helped to
make such a difference!
You helped children in St Monica Pre-school to
fix their playground, which needed much care
and attention so it became a great place for
them to play again!
You also helped the children at their Primary
School. They needed new toilets in their school
and you helped build those too!
Music is such a good way to learn don’t you
think? So, your money helped provide musical
CDs for the children at St Paul’s Mission so they
could learn hymns and songs and other great
stuff through music!
With your help, we were also able to help
children, especially orphans, in Lesotho who
have been given the chance to feel part of a
huge family that is caring for them, the
Worldwide Church!

The local priest and principal of St
Raphael’s School in Freetown sent us a
letter. It said: We thank the children of
Ireland very much for their generous
donations, which are going to help us build
our much needed new school. So, well done
you!!!
Did you know that you are also helping to
renovate a health centre for so many
children and their families? The Catholic
Community of the Sacred Heart wrote to us
too to say “We wish to express our sincere
gratitude for the charitable gift from the
children of Ireland. We promise to work
hard that we too may be able to assist other
children of the world.” How great is that!!
REMEMBER: You don’t have to donate to participate, thank you to everyone who supports our work by praying for the
children in our projects. This is just as important as donating, please send us photos/stories of how you support our
work spiritually…we’d love to have your photos here too!
YYYooouuu RRRaaaiiissseeeddd €€€111,,,222888888!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you remember last year when Jackie, Sally,
and Charlie Bird from RTE, went to the
Philippines? They visited the children who live in
Pagatay Cemetery in Manila. Well, Jackie asked
you all to get creative on Mad Hair Day and
thanks to each and every one of you, you raised
€1,288. Sr. Julie and Sr. Bella will use this money
to restore the old Church building near the
graveyard and use it as a school for all the
children.

We’d like to offer a big thank you to the former
Mayor of Naas, who is now a TD in the Dáil.
James Lawless held a coffee morning in his offices
and invited Sally and Jackie to talk about the
missionaries in Manila and to show the DVD of
Charlie Bird’s report from there. Well done
everyone!!
