With over 60 years of technical experience and know-how in optics, Kowa is proud to present the next generation of crystal clear, super wide angle, fixed focal length lenses. In particular, Kowa’s 8.5mm F2.8 model is able to produce ultra HD resolution by applying high precision aspherical lens elements. This design allows our 8.5mm lens to have minimal distortion even though it projects a super wide angle of view.

The Kowa Telephoto Lens/Scope incorporates one fluorite crystal and two XD (extra low dispersion glass) lenses to virtually eliminate chromatic aberration (colour fringing). Drawing on decades of optical heritage and innovation with our spotting scope range - The Kowa Telephoto lens benefits from advanced optical technology to deliver stunning optical performance - images are high in contrast and extremely sharp - both as a spotting scope and a camera lens. The use of a rounded diaphragm creates the perfect telephoto bokeh effect and brings the main subject to the forefront in breathtaking detail.

Already the perfect synergy for nature-photography & terrestrial observation. With the introduction of 2 new adapters for astronomical applications, specially designed to carry astronomical eye-pieces as well as astro photography mounts. The telephoto lens is possibly the most versatile photo and observation product on the market today.



Scopes and digiscopingOur large assortment of premium quality scopes with objective diameters of 60, 66, 77, 82 and 88 mm is extremely competitive. The TSN-663/663 benefits from a new make-over to a classic green colour and the front lens of this model is now equipped with KR* coating:

Kowa’s KR coating protects the lenses from dirt and other foreign residue that may affix to the lenses during normal use. Even in cases where the lens is accidentally touched, fingerprints or oil can easily be removed through proper lens cleaning methods.

Kowa - the pioneer in digiscoping. For more than 20 years we have produced a range of components for digiscoping allowing the user to make use of spotting scopes (and sometimes binoculars) as a telephoto-lens with connection of the following photo-hardware:
